Will Solace was stressed when he first met you, as he often is, head healer and Apollo cabin counselor and everything. It was his turn to host the arts and crafts activity that afternoon, and you'd think his two big boy jobs would excuse him, but really it just allowed him to do them less often. There was noise, mess, and few older campers capable of crowd management.
A younger sibling of yours got hot glue in their hair, bursting into tears on the spot. Before Will could move his long legs fast enough to get there, you dropped to a crouch to meet your sibling at eye level. You cooed and shushed them, saying gentle comforts as you pulled out half-melted globs from their hair. He watched on— watched you— almost in shock. Your dark brown hair shined a warm hazel as it caught the light, and his eyes followed the paths of your chunky highlights as they curved around your head, your face.
You'd burned your fingertips when you pulled that hot glue off, so he invited you to the clinic to fix you up. Really, he could have healed you with a single hymn right there at arts and crafts. He just wanted an excuse to talk to you for longer, even though he stuttered through the first words he'd ever spoken to you, asking you if you were okay.
He's got this dorky kind of crush on you before you get together. He trips over his own feet when he sees you, rushing to talk to you. He mother-hens you, worrying over every possible little scratch, but aware and respectful of your boundaries all the same. He freaks out the first time you actually get hurt, and dedicates all his time to you until you get better.
He pretends to be so confident and assured when he's trying to get to know you, but he crumbles like sand when you start to reciprocate. He was speechless when you brought him a little gift for the first time, before completely melting like a blushing puddle. When you reached out to touch him or hold his hand for the first time, he tried to keep his cool, but on the inside he was screaming for fifteen minutes. (You could definitely tell, with how red his face was.)
Your guys' siblings tease the HELL out of you. The Apollo and Aphrodite cabin team up just to get you guys in each other's orbits, setting you up to do activities together, teasing you both about your obvious crushes, trying to spy on your dates. They love seeing you both make eachother happy, but by gods do they also love making you both suffer from embarrassment.
When Will finally asks to be your boyfriend, you obviously say yes, and Will immediately gets a brutal shovel talk from your siblings. Totally worth it.
He loves sitting with you in silence, doing your own things together, his head on your shoulder and his arms around your waist as he watched you play video games or write. His favorite thing in the world is when you're cuddled up, maybe his head on your lap or vice versa, reading to eachother in bed. He LOVES when you lay your heads in eachother's laps and brush through eachother's hair, it's the best thing in the universe.
He loves how you love, with your whole heart. He loves watching you with the kids, his heart one big ache as he remembers how life used to be before the wars. He used to be smack in the middle of the Apollo cabin, with a dozen big sisters and brothers. He's the oldest now— everyone else gone or left. He loves to take care of you, but when you look out for him, support him, help him when he needs— it heals a part of him that misses being taken care of. One of the best parts of your relationship is that you can rely on eachother, take care of eachother and be cared for in turn.

I ship you with Leo Valdez, Bad Boy Supreme! He's pretty close to your ideal type (if maybe little a too talkative); funny, charismatic, a little bit cocky, with the biggest wettest brown eyes and the saddest little heart. You have a similar snarky sense of humor and speaking style, although Leo is more of an extravert than you, which is a nice balance. I also think you have some similarities in your flaws, and seeing them reflected in someone else would actually be really good for you. You both struggle with self-esteem issues and perfectionism, realizing somebody as amazing as your other halve also deals with the same problem will help you move past self-pity and internalize how much you're truly worth. All the cuddles, so many cuddles. Leo is such a cuddle bug! He prefers to be the little spoon so you're usually jetpacking (although maybe "the big spoon" would be the proper term, since you really only have 3 inches of height difference, he's a Short King). You bit your tongue rather than remind your mother what happened to your famous half brother the Consul, and risk the start of another rant on proper filial piety.
For you, volunteering the legionnaires of Camp Jupiter wasn't just doing your duty as a Roman; it was an escape. Which is also why after the war ended, you also volunteered to go to Camp Halfblood as an envoy, to help draw up the new peace treaty between camps (the lack of phone service there meant, for the first time, complete freedom from your family).
How You Met
You met through Piper! You stay in Cabin 10 when at you were at Camp Halfblood, of course, and became good friends with her. She really appreciated having someone who always advocated for the quieter members of the cabin, and she wanted to bring you out of your shell, so she figured, what better way to do so than to introduce you to the most out of his shell person she knew? Leo was immediately smitten with you, of course, like every pretty girl that was (to him) completely out of his league. He started flirting with you in the typical fashion, hoping to make you laugh. The last thing he was expecting was for you to fall face first for him right back.
Confession
Leo had been flirting with you since the day you'd met, but you'd never taken it seriously. A boy that cute and funny, and a hero to boot, genuinely interested in you? You couldn't believe that to be anything but a daydream turned delusion, fueled by (what should have been) harmless jokes from a consummate flirt. You always laughed at his "jokes" though, even when your heart ached from the teasing because you felt like if you were honest, he'd run away in disgust.
Then one day it was too much. It had been a bad day all around, too much work, too much noise, too many people, all culminating with an argument with Drew Tanaka that left you running from Cabin 10 in overwhelmed tears. Now to catch him in the act...
How You Met
You realized Jack Featherington was doing most of his business at a gentlemen's club, and since a respectable young lady such as yourself could not enter such an establishment, you'd have to find someone on the inside to help you. You approached the owner, Will Mondrich, for help, and he gave you more than just information; he got you in touch with a Mr Colin Bridgerton, who'd been approached by Lord Featherington for business, and was happy to offer himself up as bait. You'd heard of Mr Bridgerton before (who could forget the scandal he and Miss Marina Thompson had been embroiled in last season) and had even briefly seen him at a ball, behind all the swarms of young ladies vying for his attention. You hadn't expected to find a young man so eager to help, full of kindness and youthful hope. And he hadn't expected this mysterious young lady with ulterior motives to actually be so charmingly sweet. So after Featherington was foiled and sent packing back to America (where his old marks will no doubt find him again and bring him to justice), you decided to stay in London and get to know Colin a little better...
Confession
You two courted for not only a full season, but a full year! Colin was afraid to rush into love again, after having his heart broken by Marina, and you were afraid to leave your home in Canada forever after having only barely seen England. Colin took you across the country as his guest, showing you not only the Bridgerton manor, but the whole of the country, and you fell in love with it as much as with him.
The proposal was in private; Colin knew you would feel so uncomfortable with a public proposal, all those people staring and the noise. You wanted romance, not a performance.
So instead he took you outside on a midnight stroll of the gardens. You were sitting under the gazebo and gazing at the stars together as Colin worked up the courage to speak his heart. It was a beautiful late spring night, smelling of blooming flowers and perfectly temperate, if maybe a tad too humid. The stars quickly disappeared under a haze of clouds, something you pointed out, and Colin began to panic. It was going to rain, his perfect proposal plan was going to be ruined. Daphne had warned him about this, but he was so anxious he didn't listen. You were going to get wet and cross with him, and when he went back home in defeat his brothers would laugh at him and he was never going to get to give you the perfect proposal he knew you'd been dreaming of.
You knew Colin well enough by now to sense the growing distress in his mood. You finally felt sure that he was the one you wanted to spend your life with, but now you started to wonder if he felt the same. Had you done something wrong? Maybe you shouldn't have pointed out the change in the weather, although you couldn't fathom why that would have been enough to turn him so. Unless it was the final straw. Maybe you had complained too much before, sure he'd always taken your sensitive nature in stride before but maybe he was finally sick of comforting you. You started to feel sick. You needed to get back inside where you could melt into the crowd of Bridgertons, who had already started to feel like family to you.
You stood up and, stating you were ready to go back in, started making to do so. Colin followed shortly behind.
"W-wait! Miss Anna, please, just a moment!" Perfect timing, the sky burst open in a torrential flood, a summer storm come early. Colin shielded you from the downpour and you rushed back to the gazebo, huddled together and close to soaking.
As you shivered in each other's arms, Colin started to laugh.
"Well, there goes my brilliant proposal idea! Ah well, it still ended with you in my arms!"

Now it may not be obvious at first, but let me explain.
He's one of the two head counselors for the cabin. Him and his brother personally get you situated into Camp life.
Connor finds you fun and polite enough, but it's Travis who has a crush on you.
It's like at first sight with you.
Connor and Travis have rather different types in women they like, which is why I personally see you with Travis more than Connor.
Connor likes girls who are softer. Maybe a little more "delicate". Girls who giggle at his every joke.
Travis likes his girls a little more athletic, of which there is no shortage of in Camp Half-Blood. He likes girls who are strong. Girl where he doesn't have to worry about them being hurt when he isn't around.
At first though, he doesn't even think his crush will go anywhere. He just likes to admire you from afar.
He's much too busy as a year-round Head counselor. Let alone, the replacement head counselor of a camper gone rogue.
The day his crush on you goes somewhere is when he finds you breaking down in a corner of the Hermes cabin. Your godly parent is just taking forever to claim you. You feel unwanted. Abandoned. Alone.
Now, this is nothing new to Travis. It's like a demigod's rite of passage into Camp Half-Blood.
Doesn't make it any easier to see someone else feeling the same way he did once upon a time.
He comforts you as best he can. He lets you scream and cry, or he lets you throw things around, if that's how you handle things.
And when you're done with your crying, he offers ways to get your mind off of it. Sparring, or drawing with you. Reading whatever textbooks the Big House has.
He even tells you about his own experiences with the gods. His own quests he's been on, big or small. He tells you about how his father claimed him. He isn't afraid of being vulnerable with you, even though all of his instincts are yelling at him to be paranoid.
From there, your friendship becomes something more. You find yourself looking for him whenever either of you have free time.
Since you enjoy active activities just as much as quieter ones, it's rather lucky Travis is the one who likes you. He's the same way.
He doesn't read as much, because even though all the books in Camp Half-Blood are written in Greek, he just doesn't like reading. But he'll listen to you read. He likes listening to you read aloud. Or even if you don't want to do that, he'll probably whittle away at a piece of wood while you draw.
His main love languages are quality time and acts of service after all. This is how he shows you he likes you.
It's very lucky that neither of you enjoy gossip. Travis hates rumors and all that what have you. It's a big reason why he doesn't get along with a lot of the Aphrodite kids.
His favorite dates with you are when you two go out and do something active. Preferably when you two can leave the camp. Not far, probably not even out of Manhattan.

Reading through this, there was a constant voice in the back of my mind whispering “Athena” over and over again. I still pursued other options in the interest of not being basic because it almost felt too obvious. I entertained Nemesis for a long while, actually. Your inclination to hear out everyone’s opinions suggested a strong sense of justice and moral prolificity towards fairplay. That, paired with a blunt disposition and dry sense of humor really meshed with the goddess. You vibe like someone who is unabashed in calling out other people’s bullshit which is something that I felt carried strong Nemesis undertones.
However,
You know who else is known for possessing a strong bullshit detector? Athena. Furthermore, if your inclination towards ensuring others opinions are heard and considered stems from a desire to foster understanding and deepen perspective rather than merely in the name of justice and equality then I think that would actually make it more of an Athena trait.
Also your disregard for rules and structure is not very characteristic of Nemesis’ cabin simply because I feel as though those campers would respect rules (unless the rules directly went against their strong moral convictions) and crave a more structured, organized lifestyle.

The only cabin capable of outcompeting Athena’s is Nike’s and I did not feel as though your desire to win was quite that strong (willing to sacrifice relationships if it means being right/winning). There is an understanding regarding the importance of quiet spaces to study and grow. Therefore strict quiet hours are in place at the cabin. This makes it the best possible retreat to study, read, or simply unwind after a stressful day of social interaction.
I can’t see Athena’s cabin being a party cabin to any extent (you’d have to go to Ares’ or Aphrodite’s for that).
Great friends with Hecate’s Cabin.
Whilst never mentioned in the books, there is a very similar dynamic between Athena and Hecate and I feel like the children of each goddess would get along.
The emphasis on academic success and high parental expectations is strong in both cabins.
As a result, I could see frequent trips between both cabins as study buddies or training partners. With Athena’s cabin focusing more so on the athletics and Hecate’s on the academics. This forms a symbiotic relationship in which both cabins assist and support each other where the other lacks.
Because nothing screams “gifted kid burn out” more than hating to study but also hating getting anything below a 90 on a test.
Being traditionally designated as the “smart kid” and coasting through school and tests due to your intelligence having never properly developed studying methods and then emotionally shutting down when academics start becoming actually challenging because you’ve internalized your intellect as a key personality trait resulting in a pervasive sense of imposter syndrome and inadequacy is so Athena-coded.
But I digress.
Also there are some major perks to having witchy friends.
The occasional pig-transforming spell or levitation potion goes a long way for hijinks and other rule-breaking, mischievous activities.
An adrenaline rush for sure, and a good way to absolutely traumatize the other campers.

Ma'am is an absolute lotta true crime(penelope scott) vibes type of gal. She probably has strong opinions about known and lesser know murderers. Her reading books and then telling you all about her reviews of them is just!!! I’m a very animated person, kind of like I popped out of an animated movie, think encanto maybe. I am very expressional with my face, waving my hands around and just moving like I’m a smoothly done animation. I have a lot of nervous energy and I always need to be stimulated in some way, like moving my hand rapidly or playing with my hair/hands. I’m sorta like a cat, in the sense that I make cat like screeches and I’m very jumpy, I even jump at things I’m not really scared of lol.

I genuinely find it really hard to show affection so I show it through playful kicks, punches and sometimes bites. HOBBY TIME!! I really like to listen to people talk!! I also love talking myself too but listening to people talk is so enlightening and rewarding I love it! I really love looking at media discussion and analysing, it’s one of the main things I connect with people over. I love talking about interpretations of characters, especially underdeveloped and under-used ones, they’re like a playground of inspiration! I love challenges like jigsaws and lego, so I like when the reward is a small building or an image from the jigsaw! I’m a theatre kid, I do dance, I act, I sing(badly). I also play guitar! I paint as a way to figure out how I’m feeling and process those feelings, which helps because my brain works very visually. I love creative things in general! I read and write a lot, and I sometimes get the urge to act out scenes, which is helpful when I’m writing because it helps me figure out if what I’m making the character do is physically possible!
