Liking something doesn’t make you a bad person. Drawing fan art doesn’t make you a bad person. Getting excited about the show and its content no matter how “good” or “bad” it is doesn’t make you a bad person. You know what DOES make you a bad person? Judging someone instantly based of the fandom they’re in. I’ve done my time being a judgy asshole. I was a Homestuck. I was an elitist. I did the “crimes”. But guess what? Plenty of good people exist in “shitty” fandoms. Yes. Some people are shitty. They are hateful, close minded, ship warring, cringe worthy little twats. Thats true. But there are also so amazing people in there that get over shadowed. Its okay to be cautious, but don’t start acting like the person is awful until you know they are awful.
Almost every fandom has bad seeds. You are not better then others if yours has less. And if you wanna be a dick to people because of their interests? Well congrats buddy. You’re the problem. This is why the Strange Magic fandom is a breath of absolute fresh air because they don’t judge and they don’t fight. They are happy to produce content and talk to each other and they aren’t sitting there shitting on people. Stop telling people what they like is wrong or that they are “stupid” for liking it. I promise, you are more of an idiot then most of the people you’re insulting. Knock it off.
