Random Hammy headcanons bc I’ve been brainrotting about them (UK ver.)

- Emmy is bi while Hannah is a lesbian

- Hannah first started following Emmy after she came to the conclusion that Emmy was up to something nefarious and believed that catching her to turn her in would finally make Grotsky notice her

- Hannah is canonically extremely quick, agile, and can be quite sneaky when impassioned, which would let her be undetected by most of the Layton crew - except Emmy

- Over time, Hannah becomes more intrigued by the mystery of Emmy as a person, though she doesn’t admit it to herself and sticks to her original intentions quite staunchly if ever asked

- In AL, she comes to lose feelings for Grotsky and finally admits to herself that Emmy has caught her eye, only to see her holding poor Luke at knife point

- she tails the two to save the poor boy, chastising herself for falling in love with a criminal who could do such a thing, even though she feels for Emmy’s explanation about Bronev

- Seeing Emmy then release Luke, she catches up to Emmy and tries to fight her to keep her from joining Bronev. Surprisingly, Emmy covers for Hannah by not screaming for Bronev while they fight, and Hannah puts up a good fight by dodging most all Emmy’s punches and kicks

- Finally, reaching a stalemate, the two have a hushed argument and Hannah runs off to get the police and so Emmy doesn’t get in trouble with Bronev

- after AL, she proves instrumental in conjunction with the professor and Luke in fabricating Emmy’s innocence

- Hannah follows Emmy when she leaves London

- the two form a closer, more confusing relationship of both playing dumb and finding a thrill in the mystery of the other. Sparring is their love language, and Hannah has found she can win by flirting with Emmy so she becomes too flustered to fight correctly

- After some time, they admit feelings and become more domestic, or as domestic as they can be while constantly on the move from one adventure to the next

- They’re both very much thrill seekers and mystery enthusiasts, so they have fun both working together on mysteries and crafting puzzles for the other to solve

- Emmy is an absolute sap and gets easily flustered by compliments and any forms of physical touch, the sweeter and softer the better. Hannah loves making her blush and adore providing comfort and a listening ear to her gf <3

- Layton knows about Hannah through letters since Emmy clocked Layton very early on in her assistantship and was perhaps her first real friend who didn’t see her as a tool

- Hannah loves giving Emmy sturdy, useful gifts that let her feel pretty without encumbering her or causing discomfort, like hair accessories/products, clothes, and shoes

- Emmy gets Hannah as many luxuries as she can afford - statement jewelry, designer bags, gemstones, etc. (Somehow, no matter how impractical or delicate the accessory, Hannah never breaks or loses it during her adventures)

- Hannah goes to the gym less than Emmy, but when they do go to the gym together, they pretend to not know one another while they wordlessly compete to see who gets a better workout in (this is very draining for both of them so they don’t always do it but it’s helpful to let off steam or wind down from little fights)

- Emmy can be quite insecure while Hannah is as open and confident in her sexuality and herself in general. Emmy sometimes has to reel Hannah in for safety, while Hannah hypes Emmy up every moment she can get

- They find trouble wherever they go (I.e. visiting places with ongoing mysteries, inadvertently causing urban legends, accidentally causing a simmering conflict to boil over, etc.) even on vacations, and they wouldn’t have it any other way :3

- They sometimes host Hershel’s kids and Flora confides in them more than to Hershel and Luke. She has occasionally taken breaks from school where she stays at their place and accompanies them on adventures
