Even though she knew that, there would be familiar faces around the city, the Shepherds from her homeland. However, every time seeing one was a surprise for her considering the fact that she would contemplate about the complexity of fate. Perhaps each and every one of them were intertwined by the strings of destiny one way or another—fated to meet each other, no matter the circumstances. Though some may leave the city, which was probably for the better some had stayed much longer—was this also the handiwork of this so called fate.
Eyes focused towards an orange headed individual, noting his familiarity. The attire, the shaggy hair cut (which reminded her, she needed to get his hair trimmed at some point) and the fact that he reeked of candy at this point. Gaius, the thief and a fellow Shepherd was here in Hive City. Cordelia did not know if she wanted to muster a smile at the fact they had been reunited or did she want to furrow her brows at the fact that he also gotten himself trapped in this damned social experiment as well.
“Gaius… It’s been a while, hasn’t it?”
Those were the only words she could muster. Her expression was complicated—joy, and grievance all at once. If anything, her emotions at the time were all oxymorons and even contradicting. Perhaps, she should move away from such negative thoughts that have been taking over what she thought during the past few seconds. Barely mustering a smile at the orange headed thief, she decided to speak to him a little more.
“Your hair has grown quite long hasn’t it? You should get it trimmed or I’ll do it for you.”
