Op wild thought here but: Aubrey accidental gooping in front of Melli, and people start thinking Melli has (more) Problems™️ because wth children do not goop and therefore Melli needs a Break™️

Although, you got me thinking….

Melli and Aubrey’s relationship would be really funny. Like, imagine if Melli was the one who found Aubrey in the first place and took her back to the clan. You know this man would boast about being the one to find a time traveler.

Aubrey, prior to meeting Ingo in Hisui, would probably be very teary but stick close to Melli since he helped her when she was lost. (And he was the first person she met there) I also think the way he refers to himself as “The Great Warden Melli” would remind her of Emmet, with him always saying his own name.

Like, you have the most annoying guy ever, and this cute little kid following him around. An odd combo for sure, but neither mind until Aubrey meets Ingo in Hisui. (I think Melli would rather enjoy it really.)

Then the entire dynamic changes. Melli does not want Aubrey around Ingo because he doesn’t want to lose his boasting privileges of being Aubrey’s favorite to the pearl clan. All while Aubrey is starting to pick up on his BS, and sad her friend is trying to prevent her from being with her dad.

Eventually this disappointment becomes dislike, and now Melli is Aubrey’s least favorite person. (Which Adaman relentlessly teases Melli about.)

Melli is not having this because his pride is at stake, so he regularly harasses Ingo about Aubrey until one day he witnesses her goop. Then the dynamic changes again, and Aubrey is suddenly a cosmic horror to Melli.

Fun fact; in a DILF-off between Ingo, Laventon, and Kamado, Laventon manages to split the vote perfectly between himself and Ingo, and Kamado gets exactly one vote that reads "lmao you wish loser" with handwriting that looks suspiciously like Cyllene's.

Haven’t posted anything from my Melli gets sent to the future au in a long time. I’ve been working on it constantly, but even though it takes up the majority of my creative energy, for some reason I never post about it much, or when I do I don’t specify that it belongs to this specific project. Most of my Melli art is actually from this “universe”, believe it or not. I really want to post more about it, but it’s so deep in headcanons and my own expanded lore, I’d have to write some set up stuff first. I’ve never actually published anything properly before, but it’s definitely a goal of mine.

Some context. Melli vanishes while investigating a disturbance on Mt Coronet. He awakens in the future, confused, alongside a mysterious silent Gengar that won’t leave his side. The pair are discovered and taken in by Team V, an organisation dedicated in part to solving the mystery of the “falling phenomenon”, a strange and unexplainable event that has seen people from the past appear mysteriously all over the world. He must join Team V to help try and solve the mystery of what happened to him that day, and to try and find a way to return home, to his own time

This is set after discovering some records of his past, coming face to face with a familiar image of a different time

Those are Fall Out Boy lyrics btw, and I always think of my future flung Melli whenever I hear them. They directly inspired this scene
