Why I made a Tumblr: Originally to share art and meet people. Then I put all my art on a separate blog, now this one’s just for talking to people and memes

Reason for my url: When I got my first Xbox Live username - it assigns you a new one when you sign up, regardless of what your username was before you had Live - it was OngoingPlague24. I used my one free name change to turn it to OngoingPlague42 (Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy was and still is one of my favorite movies of all time). I liked it because back then I was SUPER into zombies. Dead Rising, Dead Space, Dead Island. I still love ‘em. The name was just super fitting. So from then on I started using ‘ongoingplague’ or, ‘theongoingplague’ or just ‘theplague’ for usernames, and most people who talk to me online just refer to me as Plague, since I usually don’t give out my name.

Also, if anyone plays on xbox one and want to talk/chill/play some games, my gamertag is still OngoingPlague42. Say hi to me, if you want.

can she shapeshift? how powerful is she? this anon can't think of much to ask.... hmm... whats her sexuality??

Shapeshifting isn't the right word. I was serious when I said they have a culture based on plastic surgery; their biology (consisting of a thin, flexible mesh of electromagnetic metallic nodes that produce the field that keeps their plasma in shape) is incredibly easy to surgically manipulate. Like, plastic surgery is about as simple as a doctor's visit (but not, like, American ones). That's why their culture has evolved the way it has! And once they became spacefaring, once they started meeting new, visually-interesting extraterrestrials with body plans they hadn't even considered before, their culture exploded with new fashion trends, new ways for a Ssreshin to be who they want to be.

So while she can't change her shape on command, nor can the other Ssreshins, it's very easy to switch things up if she's feeling bored.

As for power, she's not, like, wildly strong or anything - she is, however, essentially a walking lightsaber. They have to wear clothes and armor made or coated in that same metal that occurs naturally in their forms. No, they don't get it from Ssreshins - their planet has a strange, mindless amoeboid lifeform that shares a similar energy-based biology. They're farmed like cattle for both excess ssreshite and plasma.

Finally: Sexuality is kind of a vague concept for her, since Ssreshins are essentially sexless, genderless people - they only started taking masculine or feminine forms after they met humans, and that, in kind, meant the humans started assigning pronouns to them. Riss uses feminine pronouns because it's easier for people to understand, and she calls herself a lesbian because she favors similarly feminine folk.

Aside from being the closest thing I have to a 'sona, that question's hard to answer. Probably because of how many variations I've made of her, tweaked to fit different universes or settings. Like, the one I posted recently is for Dragon Ball; she's of the Majin Race, she's a Time Patroller, and she likes kicking the crap out of people. But, Majin Riss isn't the original!

Riss (the OG) is a being made of sentient plasma, whose species has built a culture around their own plastic surgery due to how easy it is to do. It's a culture that encourages a being to be their true selves, however that may look in the end - multiple sets of arms, tails, whatever. In the end, she's happy just looking like a blue Woman(tm), but that's just because that made her leagues easier to draw when I made her.

It's just been aeons since I've done anything with her, be it writing or art - getting back into Xenoverse (where Majin Riss originates) and later Dragon Ball as a whole is really what got me back into Riss as a character - at least, one version of her, anyway.
