He never had let go of one wish, one image in his mind his close ones could see him picturing whenever he thought himself alone. A faint smile spread across his thin lips as eyes stared into nothingness, gleaming in a pleasant thrill of anticipation he was almost sure to never see fulfilled. Sometimes, he sat there in the foyer for sheer eterneties, not even realizing how time passed him by. The first time Yaguruma was witnessing said dreamy expression he didn't even dare to show himself for what he was able to see had rendered him speechless. There was something he radiated that he couldn't quite name, but there was no doubt that it made his scarred heart feel at peace. He felt an attraction he never had felt before, which could not be overshadowed even by another plan the younger mal had made without telling him. All he knew was that minutes later he found himself wearing a black suit and tie which made him feel so overdressed. Obviously, as he later had stated, Haruto had wanted them to dine together in some kind of noble restaurant that only made his surprised companion wonder whether he really had made the right choices, but doubts were wiped away by remembering the soft though piercing gaze he had felt through the door as he undressed to change clothes. What was going on between them was hardly a secret anymore, nevertheless every single act of intimacy made shivers run down his spine. In the end they didn't even reach the restaurant. Not due to their favorite kind of occupation, but for a piece of nostalgia flinching in Yaguruma's eyes as he grabbed the other man's hand and decided to not move a foot anymore. They were just standing their, embraced by moonlight in a lukewarm summer night with wind combing their hair continuously. The raven didn't move an inch. Slowly raising his gaze towards the starlit sky, a glassy reflection was revealed. His grip tightened. "Since I first met you... Since I made you donuts for the first time and you complimented them," he started to explain his sudden reaction, "your goals to bring light to me were useless." Maybe it sounded harsh the way he phrased his words, but it was the sole truth. Every trying, every failing, every single victory, it all didn't matter since their fate had been decided right from the very begining.Slowly, he dared to look him into his beautiful, pitch dark eyes again and allowed himself to lose his self within them. His expression was calm, maybe even a light smile spread across his lips which could be easily explained away by being a game of light and shadows on his face. "The moment you stepped into my life was the moment hope had finally found me." This time his smile was honest and clearly visible, and it didn't change as he turned his hand in Haruto's while he slowly kneeled down. "I can't offer you diamonds or vacations." One knee hit the ground."I can't even afford what I am talking about right now." His back straightened, the other hand pulling a small, silvery something out of his pocket."See, I don't even have a real ring." As he opened his hand, in the palm was lying the earring he once had promised him. The perfect counterpart to the one he was always wearing and he simply hoped that the brunette would remember."But, even though, Souma Haruto....." A deep breath. The point of no return had long been passed. "Will you marry me for a lifetime and chain yourself to me for more than just a night?"
