We had a little incident today. I threw the stick a little too far into the strong currents of the #wenatcheeriver and Akela ended up a castaway on the island. A few rafters floated by and then a large rowboat, they offered to take me across to him but the current was too fast for them to get to me. Finally I capitalized on his fear of abandonment and started walking downriver with Madison. He panicked and ventured across, the current carrying him downstream pretty fast but he made it! That rascal scrambled up the bank and burst onto the trail so happy to shake the river off and fall asleep in the truck. The river felt great today but I don’t think I would have made that crossing, despite my vast experience in rescuing dogs from rivers. #adogslife #plainwashington #skadisuite #leavenworthwa #cascades #catahoula #cascademountains
These adorable little munchkins were the sweetest, most fun and most well behaved AirBnB guests ever! I had two families from Seattle who originally were from Mali and Cameroon.
