Le français disparaît d'une affiche d'accueil à Plamondon | Le café show

L'affiche bilingue qui accueillait les gens à leur arrivée à Plamondon dans le comté de Lac-la-Biche a été changée pour une affiche unilingue anglaise.

Cette communauté a une population francophone qui est fière de son héritage culturel et le démontre de plusieurs façons, dont la création d'une radio communautaire francophone.Plamondon est la première municipalité à joindre le réseau Concerto du Conseil de développement économique de l'Alberta, un réseau qui rassemble les communautés francophones pour promouvoir leur essor économique et culturel.

Pour Léo Piquette, un résident engagé de Lac-la-Biche, c'est un recul et une insulte pour les gens qui ont travaillé à faire reconnaître et valoir le caractère bilingue de Plamondon. Il tente d'obtenir des explications du comté de Lac-la-Biche à propos de cette décision.
