ASTRONOMY NERDS PAY ATTENTION!!!

August 12th there's a MAJOR planet parade upcoming, with 6/7 planets (6 7 haha) only Venus will be missing from it.

What the FUCK is a planet parade? Well a planet parade happens when more than 2 planets are located close together on one side of the sun, making them visible in the night sky all at once.

Why is this one so important? This planet parade includes Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Uranus. The first four are visible with the naked eye, the other two need binoculars or a telescope. A planet parade of this size is EXTREMELY rare, with the next one estimated around 2080.

How and where do I see it? The parade will rise in the east and set in the west, in order of Neptune, Saturn, Uranus, Mars, Mercury and lastly Jupiter. (The moon will also be rising with Mercury)

The last two will be rapidly followed by sunrise, so make sure to be quick :)

"In August 2025, six planets and the Moon will be visible in the sky – Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Here’s everything you need to know about the planet parade in August 2025 – a wonderful alignment of six planets visible in the sky just before dawn.

Planet alignment in August is being called Planet Parade 2025 “Summer Edition” because it will be the second parade of 2025. The first one occurred in January 2025. Those who observed it, could confirm that it was a marvellous celestial show. However, in August it will be a bit more tricky to spot it, because the sky is not so dark. All six planets will indeed be above the horizon in the Northern Hemisphere at once, but just before sunrise. So, if you want to see them, you need to wake up early and observe the predawn sky. Remember that looking at the Sun directly with the naked eye, using binoculars or a telescope is very dangerous; it may seriously damage your eyesight!"

Last night, it was cloudy at the optimal time to see the planet parade. I fell asleep before it cleared up, but I saw these 3 planets lined up whence I awoken!! It's going on all month so I'm hopeful that I'll see the planets again tonight. It's supposed to be clear this evening. 🤞🏼 From what I've read, the best time to see the planets here is between 5-11. I should be able to see 4 out of the 6 planets that are lining up tonight. I'm excited, and I'm walking Petey a lot tonight!! 😁 I saw this bottom photo the night before last.
