Jaime Lannister would have a Blade Liger or a Liger Zero

This, this is what happens when a character I love from a show I don't even watch becomes my newly adopted stray kitten (blorbo as some of y'all say): I end up dragging him or her into my other favorite shows to give him/her the life that character deserves, or at least the comfort they need.

And now I gotta curse you guys with my crackpot vision.

The Blade Liger is effectively the king of all the Zoids, and quite clearly a lion-type Zoid. The Blade Liger would recognize the good in Jaime underneath all the snark, pain, and self-hatred, and would choose him for a pilot in order to bring out the heroism within Jaime. And if/when Jaime is being particularly difficult/a pain, the Blade Liger will just sit down and hash it out with him until he got over it. I kid you not, the Blade Liger would be patient with him, and equally stubborn as him until Jaime got better. No matter what he'd do, the Blade Liger would never give up on Jaime, and he'd be the better for it.

The Liger Zero would be another one that would want Jaime for a pilot, and Jaime would absolutely WANT to use the Schneider Armor. Now, Liger Zero would gravitate toward Jaime for two reasons: one is that, following the loss of his right hand, Liger Zero would be able to convince Jaime more easily to allow him to take the lead in battle sometimes, and the other is because Liger Zero would take one look at Jaime and think "You've got a nerve like a toothache. I'm keeping you."

Seriously, Liger Zero is an absolutely stubborn dude. Jaime would connect with him on a spiritual level, you have NO idea. And because all Zoids are sentient despite communicating through growls, roars, and snarls, either one of these Zoids would be like "no worries about your handicap, I got you covered" and just take the reins of the right hand dashboard/control panel while he's got the left side.

And I just CANNOT let go of the thought of how the Blade Liger and Liger Zero would have a custody battle over Jaime XD. They'd both wanna keep and take care of him, he'd never hear the end of it depending on the day of the week.

On the Geneology of Liger Zoids

Here is a long post detailing the relationships between these zoids as I understand them.

So starting from the right-hand side of this chart, we have the older ligers/lion types. I assume that at least one of these types are mechanized versions of this->

which is from the continent of Delpoi, which was initially ruled entirely by the Helic Republic before a schism formed in the royal family that led to the first Helic Republic/Zenebus Empire war.

From this species came 2 machine beasts, one developed by each faction

And, of course, our old standby,

Just going by the chart it seems like Zenebus never further developed their ligers, which is the complete opposite than the Helic Republic, who developed a new fuselage for the core type

And then improved upon the design with a 2nd iteration.

From this point onward the Kings seemed to be either phased out or just declared "good enough" and R&D centered squarely on the Shield Liger; I will focus on the linear Shieldy->Blades lineage here because to avoid bloating the post, I'll detail their off-shoots later.

So after the Shield Liger came...

After which came MK-II & MK-II B

What really catches my attention is the construction of the laser blade mount-

and its resemblance to->

The high-output ion boosters on the blade arms of the Liger Zero Schneider. I can't be sure though, since I assume the weapons and equipment list only includes features common to all 3 versions.

So at this point the old Delpoian Ligers' core is deemed to be of insufficient strength by the Republican Army, which left them at a developmental dead end; the Imperial Army meanwhile has begun to develop a fuselage based on this-

From the western continent of Europa. Their prototype was stolen by the Republican Army and thus we got 2 versions of the resulting zoid:

These zoids were designed partly around the concept of the Changing Armor System (CAS), which makes the zoid suitable for a variety of different missions. I won't cover all the CAS units since I assume that most zoids fans are familiar with them, so I'll just be posting the versions that seem to have never left the hobby publications.

So first I will show the Imperial side,

So basically the Empire took a very stealth based approach to their ligers.

So firstly, I wonder what this zoids' top speed looks like. 2nd, those drill swords might be the most terror-inducing weapons on a Liger Zero beside the Panzer's homing missiles. 3rd, it's equipped with a little spy drone on it's tail!

I don't have anything to add, I just know nothing. I seems to link directly back to the Ultimate Liger, so maybe it was intended to be an Imperial Zoid?

And last & absolutely least:

Yup. A CAS that concerts the Liger Zero into a buffed Shield Liger. It just doesn't thrill or interest me, even though I won't deny it's versatility.

The Iron Bible : Promotional Video

So, it took like a year for the last upload to stay on the search, but alas, it was not a very good aspect ratio and was stuck on wide screen. I ripped a bet...

You know what screw it time to dump some headcanons I’ve been sitting on ever since this Zoid kick started again. I’m pretty recently coming back into the fandom so if this has been proposed already I apologize. If anyone wants to join in the discussion please feel free, I’d love to kick this about and get a bit more involved in the Zoids fandom.

Anyway, so you know how embryo space colonization is a concept for colonization of distant planets by sending a ship with preserved embryos and A.I. nannies? Well I got to thinking, what if that was originally where the Ancient Zoidians came from? An extremely early attempt by Earth to toss the “seeds” of humanity throughout the galaxy, and this one was mostly successful in that there was a stable population that resulted from it. Then over time these humans adapted to life on Zi, formed a symbiotic relationship with the native creatures there(cause when you were raised by robonannies, a giant cat robot might not seem as uninviting as friend material than it would to Earth folk), retained some aspects of Earth technology and culture but forgot others(perhaps due to the robonannies falling out of use once the colonists were able to have and raise kids of their own, or parts of the data stored by the ship were damaged/corrupted during the trip or after landing).

Just, a wealth of possibilities. And it carries relevance to stories told after the fall of the Ancient Zoidians. Will humans gradually become more like Zoidians as they live on the planet longer, or has that ship sailed due to their ever-increasing control over the environment? Can the two successfully interbreed? Is it possible to force a human to evolve into a Zoidian? It makes me excited just thinking about it! ^__^

I thought it would be neat to take the map @hanyoutaikyoushu provided in my last inquiry post about the Map of Zi in Chaotic Century/Guardian Force and trace the continent in a new file. I also attempted to replicate the path Van and company had traversed through the show using the screencap as reference.  I have come across a couple of pieces of maps from a few episodes of CC/GF that I thought would be interesting to include. 

I have been reviewing the show to see if there are tidbits like this. Although... I really highly doubt any of the maps they show have any sort of accuracy to the real Western Continent map. My guess is they just sketched something up each episode they needed to show a map of some sort on ;( Unless anyone can spot some key features here to roughly place these locations (Red River, #7 West Block Base, Wind Colony) shown. But it seems like a stretch! 

Why am I pursuing this at all? I dunno, it’s rather fun honestly :) I hope some enjoyment is had out of exploring these things at the very least by other Zoids fans.
