HMM Dibison

I bought this kit last January during the Tokyo trip, and finally opened and finished it during Golden Week. The LED light I wanna use for the eye canopy just arrived, so I was only able to take the final photos just now.

Anyway, I remember having a bootleg Dibison back at home with a very noisy gearbox, no green parts, and plastic hooves and horns. It's survived all this time kinda like the Geno Breaker, hence the same "faded paint" treatment. This turned out great. As for the build, it's also a very satisfying one to put together - well-placed gates and interlocking parts make the Dibison a really solid kit overall. The joints that connect the legs with the body could use some work, though.

The next two projects I have are special. I'm currently teaching a Gojulas how to swim, and I'm still looking for a secondhand Death Stinger to get scythe-swinging lessons for.

Just realized that I've been totally neglecting posting pics of my Zoids collection here. Gonna start off with my HMM Dibison Thomas Version! Had a lot of fun with the metallic green and silver on this one. :)

Finally finished the last kit on my backlog. Still have to detail paint most of them, but that’s okay. I’ll get there eventually. Intend to eventually get more.

The Dibison is a heavily armored, heavily armed Bison type Zoid. The Dibison's principal weapons are an array of seventeen 105mm mortars mounted on its back. Long-ranged and capable of indirect fire, the weapons can be used to saturate an area or focus on a single target. Additionally, the Dibison's super-heavy Crusher horns are capable of penetrating armor, while its Crusher Hooves can be used to trample enemy Zoids underfoot. While not very agile, its speed and mass allow it to effectively charge down enemy Zoids. The Dibison's armor is very thick, allowing it to wade through enemy fire. Finally, the Zoid is fitted with an extensive sensory system, allowing it to detect and engage enemy Zoids at long range.

The two most notable pilots of the Dibison are Lt. Thomas Richard Schubaltz in Chaotic Century, and later, Leena Toros in New Century.
