I still can't believe there are people who haven't watched Planetes, I can't believe there are so many of them. They don't know about that time when Claire Rondo textually, literally, led a communist revolution in space. They don't know about hating Hachimaki, understanding him, loving him, and then hating him again. They don't know about that episode that represented the crude reality of science and research in third world nations... they don't even known part of the main plot and themes is all about imperialism (not even subtext, it's explictly discussed). They don't know about Ai Tanabe, the girl who did nothing wrong. They don't know about the opening which you will sing along until you die. They don't know about that time Fee Carmichael Saved Space.
THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT FEE CARMICHAEL PERIOD. HOW CAN YOU NOT KNOW ABOUT FEE CARMICHAEL. WHAT KIND OF SOCIETY ARE WE LIVING IN.
