I went to an African violet meeting tonight and the presentation was African violets 101. It is always interesting to get another person's growing tips and tricks, especially from someone who has been growing them for 50 years. This picture is of babies that have come from two "mother" leaves. I have never seen the leaves cut into squares but she does it to let more energy go into making roots instead of using much of its energy keeping a large leaf alive. And it fits into the cups she uses to propagate her leaves better. You can learn something new every day! How do you propagate your African violet leaves? The bonus...she gave us leaves tonight to start our own plants! Yay! . . #Africanviolets #plantsociety #fellowplantnerds #plantpropagationtricks #houseplantsrock #houseplants #urbanjungle #house_plant_community #houseplantseverywhere #moreplants #findyourplant #indoorplants #leaves #flowersofinstagram #flowerstalking #greenyourfeed #plantpeopleshare https://www.instagram.com/p/B1u129HgUvT/?igshid=8kjk91spsag0
