Let’s talk fertilizer!

What the fuck!

I go to Lowes today knowing exactly what I want.

And I leave with one of everything because no one knew what I was talking about.

I wanted all-purpose liquid fertilizer. Check.

I wanted succulent fertilizer. Check.

After that, I had two more fertilizers I wanted, and found out I needed four more. That’s ok, I’m willing to spend a little on this.

I wanted high phosphorus fertilizer. Good lord, that threw the employees for a loop. Ended up with “Blooming” fertilizer?? 0.5-1-0.5 were its numbers, so, I settled?? Cause the middle number is phosphorus, so... that’s good?

Well, then I wanted high nitrogen fertilizer. I read all the bottles I could find. Low and buttholed, the all-purpose fertilizer is 12-4-8 which means high nitrogen. But wait, isn’t balanced fertilizer just all-purpose fertilizer? Nope! So, I go find balanced fertilizer. 1-1-1.

I then pick up the orchid fertilizer, cause I’m just curious now. 0.5-0.5-0.5. Wait, thats balanced, too... What on g-man’s green earth do they mean “balanced”? Then I remembered some of my plants want weaker fertilizer.

So. I kid you not. I may as well be a MiracleGrow sales rep, cause I now own every dumb version of their fertilizer.

I should’ve done what the planttok people do and just boil their left overs 🙄. Not to mention I gotta do all sorts of math when I mix these into their respective parts-per-million.
