Come through ally, Dong Quai. 🙌🏽 Pulled the Empress, today. Honored to walk alongside you for a time. & an honorable mention to Schisandra because she was a close 2nd. Both will accompany me in this talisman for the next 12 weeks as a reminder of where I am a co-creator in this life, along w/ quartz to amplify the chi. Grateful. Happy Jupiter Day. Adventure into the Bukk. Many herbalists have an overwhelming draw to leave the city and find wilderness and juicy plants to look at, which happened to me. While visiting Budapest, I decided to go on a trek to Bukkszentkereszt to a medicinal plant walk in the mountains. Did you know that Hungary provided all of the medicinal plants for Europe in the middle ages? Fascinating stuff. The challenging plant walk left me with 3 hours of recordings to translate! Most of the herbs were familiar, and it was great to see comfrey in the wild as a Native plant. Things I have figured out while here: Most people under 30 speak English. Hungarians like to drink beer as much as coffee in the mornings-- in fact in the small town I was in you go to the bar for your morning coffee. They don't seem to eat breakfast. There are great little places to stay for cheap called Pensions that are minimal and only cost 15 to 20 dollars a night. People are patient, friendly but curt, and expected to fend for themselves. And...Szarvas means deer, and there are a lot of them on the tiny twisty turns leading up to the mountaintops. Maybe we will have to plan a Wildflower School Trip to Hungary for a tour of hot springs and medicinal plants. Who's in? #buuk #hungary #medicinalplants #plantwalk (at Bükkszentkereszt)
