The Beautiful Future Exhibition

“The Beautiful Future” is a unique exhibition presented by Nick Bonner of Koryo Studio, Dominic Johnson-Hill of Plastered8, and selected North Korean artists. Design China shares exclusive images.

Based on Nick's and Dominic's sketches inspired by their 20 years in China, each painting has been hand-painted in Pyongyang...portraying a place lost in time - uniting a challenging past, a dynamic present, and an imagined future where all is bright and beautiful. As outsiders looking in, Nick, Dominic and the North Korean artists have created a city whose socialist traditions are juxtaposed with present pleasures and modern architectural icons.

This exhibition will run from 21 September until 3 October 2013 at C4 Beijing Space Gallery in Caochangdi as part of BJDW 2013. Details.
