Plastic Armor is a ravishing debut from IMAGIST, a project created by NYC artist Mike McKeever. This synth wavy electronic delight feels like a shimmering fusion of Crystal Castles, The Naked and Famous, and M83. Plastic Armor is magnificent entrancing, a serotonin releasing expanse of dance inducing bliss that features pop vocals from fellow New Yorker Bea Go. Watch IMAGIST’s video for Plastic Armor below. The visualizer, directed by LIL INTERNET, was inspired by the Gothic Lolita - Harajuku subculture and follows the transformation of women getting ready for their night out.
