I don’t know the origins of this card, but it’s definitely very big, and I do adore the artwork.  It’s about as big as my hand, thick, and hard to bend.  The artist who drew the picture is 夕華ののこ (Yuuka-nonoko?).  The back side of the card is absolutely plain white, so there’s no real need to scan it to show here.

The actual card itself, in terms of size, would be a little bit smaller than the novelty Yugioh cards that are gigantic and not supposed to be used in actual play.  (It stretched from the bottom of my palm to the tip of my middle finger, and I can barely hold it with my pinky finger and thumb.

If you put it up to light you can see shadow behind it, but it’s not really made to be see-through, and as stated above, I would be fairly shocked if it managed to crease on its own due to how hard it is to bend and the fact that it snaps back to its original shape very easily.

The Japanese to the left of Riliane says, “The Daughter of Evil”.  The Japanese on the bottom says, “Come, kneel to me ♥”.

I can only imagine this card being obtained second-hand.

Painting Elective

Here are a few photos of some painting work done last week using some mixed colour and the edge of a plastic card to apply paint with. There was a further exercise which I missed exploring tone and more colour in the pallet. Hopefully I catch up with whatever the next exploration is.

I’m not completely sure of the origin of this card except that it’s related to The Servant of Evil manga and was apparently part of Gekkaneta’s 2010 December Comic Rush.  The card itself, however, is a phone card.  The manga illustrator is 猫山宮緒 (Nekoyama Miyao?).

On the back of the card, it says in both Japanese and English that this card is used for Japanese phones, and is worth 50 phone credits.  I’m not sure how much a “credit” is worth (minute?), but it seems the machine will punch around the number that’s left every time it’s used.

As is visible in the picture, there’s a light stripe, like on the back of a credit card (although you definitely don’t sign this), and the card warns against accidentally de-magnetizing it.  The card goes in with the “Rush” text at the top.

The card is made of a bendy plastic, and if bent far enough, it’ll retain the bent shape for at least a little bit.  It would be pretty difficult to actually crease it, though.

I believe I can say with fair confidence that this card can only be obtained second-hand.
