Years and years ago, as an art project, I started urban-combing, like beach-combing but on the streets around our neighbourhood. I’d then create pictures, shadow boxes and arrangements of my finds. It was quite a residential area with two schools so you always found lots of interesting lost objects and all sorts of colourful litter. We live in the countryside now. Today I had a flash back, when on our busy road with only one other house and no pavement, I found next to each other near the kerb - a tiny plastic dog and some wash care instructions written in Spanish.
