“Have you seen these cottages? With these and the buffet, I think I could live here forever!”
( @riverariley )
The one thing she hated the most about Plath, besides the uncomfortable amount of ignorant and boring people all gathered in one place, was the fact that she had to share a room with another person. She didn’t even have the time to settle down at the academy when she arrived, only three days ago, that they quickly assigned her to a roommate. The same roommate she now had at the hotel. She didn’t really have anything against the other girl… yet, but the mere condition of sharing a room was one she wasn’t really accostumed to. Therefore, as much as she would’ve loved to finish to read “The Metamorphosis” by Franz Kafka while lying in bed, she decided to do it at the resort’s café.
It was mostly empty, and for that Victoria was glad. She ordered a lemon iced tea at the bar, when her attention was caught by some drawings left unattended on a table. She grabbed her drink and slowly walked toward the works of art, staring at them and carefully studying the figures on paper. She was so captivated by them that she didn’t even notice the person who was now standing beside her.

Guess who are going to the beach? That’s right, you guys! After an exhausting year full of many events and situations, both good and bad, I think we all deserve a break. Summer school is near, but first, why don’t we take a break from everything and relax in the beautiful Florida? We’ll be staying at this resort which has small cottages. The place will be reserved for the school body to avoid trouble with anybody else. Students and staff are invited to this trip, but of course, what would be a safe, nice trip without some rules?
Every cottage is for two, so roommates stay the same.
No one can leave the hotel unless they are with a staff member.
The curfew is at 9:00 p.m.
Punishments will still be applied if necessary.
Don’t go to the beach alone. This for reasons of security.
No outsiders into the resort.
No skinny-dipping.
Attendance will be taken at 8 a.m. and at 9:30 p.m.
All costs will be fully covered, so students won’t have any need on paying for any service (unless they require transport or buy something else in the near town that isn’t planned by the school). These beautiful week of vacation is a chance for all of us to leave all the horror and disaster behind. The nightmares will stay in Plath Academy. Right?
Now, OOC. The event will last 1 week IC and 2 weeks OOC ( June 3rd - June 17th ), since the beach is a whole new thing, more plots and stuff can come out. The rules of activity will still be applied the same. Since the environment will be completely different we won’t be accepting new apps until the event is done, although you’re free to send them in! For the rule of the starters, and considering most of you may want to leave those Plath-related in pause. For starters, you still have to reply to at least 3 starters before posting your own IF POSSIBLE. The thing is that, since characters won’t be at Plath, we ask you to please refrain from replying to those starters that aren’t located in the resort/trip. If someone doesn’t want to participate in the event, please send a message to the main. If you guys have any doubts, please send us a message as well!
“ no. don’t come near me. you smell like alcohol, ” mai says all too FIRMLY ( it’s not them. it’s her. how many drinks has she had? four? five? she had stopped counting after she had run out of fingers on her free hand ). it’s surprising that her words aren’t as slurredas they could be. “ meanie. i’ll call the POLICE on you for drinking !! ”
Dio ran a hand through his hair, ruffling it carelessly. He squirmed in his tailored suit, wishing he was back in his leather jacket and jeans. Sure he looked good- but the whole thing was too formal for his taste, and he wasn’t drunk enough to deal with it all. He leaned against the wall, casually turning to the person next to him. “is this about as exciting as it gets? should I find someone pretty and run back to my room or is it worth sticking around?”
“ wait, do i look okay?? what do i do?? “ he’s FRANTICALLY looking down at his suit, brushing it off ; as if this will somehow CHANGE the colour he has deemed to be horrendous on him. “ i’m not panicking, YOU’RE panicking!! “
lord help this boy.
“I can’t wait to see all the crazy shit everyone will do once they’re drunk. If nothing crazy happens, I just basically wasted my time.”
She’d had enough. Of biting her lip, and playing with her hair. Of hearing her favorite song, and just sitting there, in those dumb plastic chairs that were made for 5 year olds. Of watching happy looking people, dancing away. Sure, they probably weren’t completely happy. But they sure as hell looked better than she did. All she ever did was watch.
So, she decided to take a big step. Clearing her throat, she looked over at the person next to her. She was going to talk. She was going to talk confidently. Mustering as much bravery and nonchalance into her voice as she could, she spoke. “Hey, um.”, she started. “I’ve never been to one of these dance things before…have you? I’m really new at this.”
