Ok so- I found THIS and I got an idea for it!
What if furina!reader looked like this when she first got reincarnated and created. Considering her predicament, her mind sort of becomes cat-like in nature because of it.
Instead of Fontaine being like canon, it’s more like natlan but still with machines.
When leviathan (pre-neuvillette) meets this usurper, he wasn’t expecting the temple that holds her. He finds her in a nest that holds the little ones of Fontaine as furina!reader thinks of them as her children.
The traveler and paimon passes through, told by nahida to look there for clues and to see what is going on there what with it being closed off. The two are shocked at what they see as the usual human-like archon they’re used to de is now this eldritch, cat-like, and multi-limbed divine being.
The traveler decides to NOT to inform the other archons about this so they are shocked by this creature walking in like it owned the place with that smile. There is also someone beside them, someone that is called neuvillette, and is the wife to the Fontaine archon and ludex to her beloved nation.
Ei and zhongli tries to bring out their weapons to take care of this intruder but is stopped by venti (he’s most likely the only one that knows what’s up).
But what everyone didn’t know….. was that this furina!reader was the reincarnation of the divine creator of teyvat~
Hope yall enjoy the idea! 😁
Focalors is bot at all prepared for her 'human side' to like THAT! 😱
She actually thinks she created a monster that would sooner kill the citizens of Fontaine than help save them... when she's immediately proven wrong!
E.C. (Eldritch Creature) Furina!MC only needed to hear the terrified cries of young children and see Abysal monsters closing in on them to act.
She TEARS every single Abysal abomination apart in seconds, leaving post cataclysm Fontainians fearing for their own lives! Only, they were ALSO quickly proven wrong!
Cut to E.C. Furina!MC cuddling some orphan children, comforting them, and letting the more curious of tykes crawl on her.
This... leads to BIG changes in Fontaine's future...
From being quickly worshipped as Fontaine new Archon- the mortals of Fontaine all saw her use Hydro! She glowed with it! This Creature had to be here to take Lady Egeria's place! -and to Fontaine being affected much more deeply by the Cataclysm compared to canon... leading to other nations thinking the whole nation was lost in general.
Though, no one really had proof, but it wasn't like anyone could go check! The seas surrounding Fontaine had been heavily contaminated by the Abyss, and none stop whirlpool and violent waters kept outsiders out!
...But that didn't mean there was no life within Fontaine.
Fontainians found protection and care under their new 'God', or well, 'Guardian'. And slowly, Fontaine was rebuilt, bit in a more primitive way compared to how they lived before.
Think Children of the Echos from Natlan, but more metal and robots... cause Fontaine Research Insitude was still a thing, and they will keep on creating new things.
But let's go back to Eldritch Creature Furina!MC. How about some fun facts?
Due to her eldritch nature (plus unknowingly being the Creator), she actually accidentally breaks the Curse of the Wilds on the Hilichurls that were stuck in Fontaine.
To her these small things felt of pain and sadness... so she'll fix them!
Thus, some very confused Khaenri'ahns come face to face with with their very eldritch but fluffy savior... and then they have a mental breakdown because this was a 'God'?!
Because of this, there's a 'clan' of Khaenri'ahns also living in Fontaine. And they don't consider E.C. Furina!MC as a Goddess but more of a protective Guardian... which is also shared by the rest of Fontaine.
Another thing, the Melusines. Fun fact, they're actually very welcomed by the humans of Fontaine.
Because they saw how much their Guardian already adore the strange creatures when they were found, and most people thought they were actually E.C. Furina!MC's children.
So, no disrespect shall be given to the Melusines! They're actually even kinda spoiled, but even so, they're hard workers, those girls~
Oh, and as for how Neuvillette ended up in Fontaine, well, he brute forced his way through the contaminated sea filled with Primordial water and monsters, all in the name of locating his authority.
He heard that Hydro Usurper was dead, so it should be easy- ...Wait. That... were those humans?!?!
Cut to Neuvillette being surrounded by curious humans, all asking if he was from the outside and other things, and badabing, badaboom, he ends up at a temple staring at the being before him in disbelief.
This was the Hydro Usurper?! But that- this isn't possible! That form! Those markings! That FACE! He's seen them before!
Back in his first incarnation! As a hatchling hiding behind Nibelung's tail... and looking up in awe at the Creator of Teyvat, of the Dragons and all life... and that was also around the same time when the Creator had started to fade...
And staring at this massive, purring figure, with a bunch of giggling human hatchlings, plus some other small creatures (Melsuines) all snuggled up to her in the giant nest she laid in, he was at a lost of words- ack!
Next he knows, he's being dragged in the nest as well, practically smothered by blue and white fur and very loud purrs... Neuvillette didn't even bother to try and escape, already falling asleep in the safe hold...
This does end up with some consequences later. The humans all saw this interaction and thought, "Oh, the Guardian chose him as her mate!"
Neuvillette gets no say in the matter. He came here for his authority- Which he gets! E.C. Furina!MC somehow gets her claws on the Gnosis... somehow. -but he comes out with a mate, a lot of adopted children (both human and Melusine), and a new home.
He still ends up becoming Fontaine's Iudex, if only because E.C. Furina!MC got sad and upset when trials or punishments weren't handled correctly...
But seeing Neuvillette taking charge, oh, she would be proud of her darling wife- er, I mean darling mate taking care of her darling people~
Oh, and also, no worries about the prophecy. You can thank the fact E.C. Furina!MC gave Neuvillette his authority back early on AND of her own Eldritchy nature.
So, no prophecy to worry about~
This also ends up leading to Focalors surviving, and she sulks, because nothing went according to plan, and Fontaine has become so primitive- EEK!
E.C. Furina!MC finds her, carries the squirming Goddess out the Oratrice, and back to her nest where she proceeds to wrap Focalors up in blankets.
E.C. Furina!MC doesn't really remember Focalors, and she never really heard her voice when the Goddess tried to order her around in the past. All she knows is this small one was sad... so she'll take care of her!
Focalors has no say in the matter, and she just cries in frustration as she eats the offered food E.C Furina!MC hands her before clinging onto the E.C. Furina!MC's fur... and NO! She was not cuddling this beast! she wasn't-
Now then, let's do a time skip. Let's go to... after the Traveler finishes in Sumeru? With Nahida sending them to Fontaine to not only look for clues for their sibling but also to investigate the desolate lands that lay behind violent waters...
Only, it wasn't as desolate as the other nations thought.
The Traveler and Paimon realize this when they managed to hit land on one the many islands and see a civilization in the far distance.
Another thing they discovered was a broken-down Archon statue (the canon one in Fontaine), and seeing it, it should be a piece of cake to locate the Hydro Archon-
The Traveler ends up eating their words as they and Paimon find themselves immediately taken into custody and taken before the 'Guardian'... who they quickly realize was rhe Hydro Archon.
But not the same one depicted by the statue...
Thankfully, they weren't killed or worse, and E.C. Furina!MC pretty on board with Fontaine leaving its isolation.
For shits and giggles, the Traveler decides not to warn the Archons of the 'Hydro Archon' and her, uh, peculiar self...
Spoilers, E.C. Furina!MC nearly gets attacked by Ei and Zhongli, cuddles Venti because he smells nice, and tries to adopt kidnap Nahida.
Neuvillette puts a stop to that, and even when his mate pouted, getting teary eye as she Nahida beside her face, nuzzling their cheeks together, Neuvillette stands strong... if only barely.
Neuvillette would probably be like: “Treasure, she is a usurper (but better than the others minus you), and we can make are our own."
Uh, other things to add to this au, the Fatui. Since Fontaine had been isolated, the House of Hearth didn't exist there, so the Hearth trio doesn't become the Hearth trio.
Instead, they're all one of E.C. Furina!MC many adopted children.
So, in mentioning the House of Hearth, I see the Tsaritsa sending Arlecchino to not only set up the Hearth in Fontaine but also retrieve the Gnosis.
And let me say this... Arlecchino has her work cut out for her. Cause unknown to her, E.C. doesn't even have it. Neuvillette has it. And he certainly isn't giving it to this outsider.
Sides that, uh... E.C. Furina!MC might've been targeted by Dottore? Oh, but don't worry! She took care of him... violently.
Oh, and another thing, in Sumeru, an old statue was dug up. A statue that looked eerily like E.C. Furina!MC, but bigger, more elegant... and the scriptures quickly cause a HUGE uproar across Teyvat.
Scriptures that talked about a 'Creator'... the being who created Teyvat-
...I'm blank on what else to add, so I hope this ok. 😅
