Child Hybrid!wolf reader x tf141 Part 2 Part 1 also reader has selective/situational mutism. I put the translations for the Spanish in quotes after it was said (I hope its all right, and still easy to read)

Alejandro damn near bought you everything on the menu, you sat on one side of the booth while Alejandro and Ghost sat on the other side. You knew they were watching your every move, you also knew they were whispering about you, they weren't nearly as quiet and discreet as they thought they were. You didn't mind though, you like knowing more than you should, and it meant you got to eat as much as you wanted, although you did make a point to sneak some food into your pockets for later.

“She went missing a few years back, the home wrecked and her parents dead. Fue un baño de sangre” (it was a bloodbath) he said the last part more quietly, like he was remembering what it looked like. “Her body was never found, we just assumed she was also killed, never would have imagined this” you noticed how ghost didn't react, he didn't say anything, you liked that about him. Alejandro turned to you “¿Puedes decirme qué pasó?” you just froze “¿Qué recuerdas?” (can you tell me what happened? What do you remember?) you remembered a lot, but still you didn't say anything. Alejandro just leaned back against the booth, he turned to Simon "hasn't said a thing, not sure she can” 

Simon stayed quiet, they both just sat there trying to watch you without making it obvious. You stayed completely still, that was till Alejandro got a phone call, which definitely made you jump slightly but you don't think they saw, Alejandro got up and pointed at Simon “seguro” (safe) before walking outside to take the call. When you looked back at Simon he wasn't looking at you, he was looking over the menu. Slowly you started eating again, after a moment Simon slowly turned the menu over so you could see it. He pointed to a picture of a churro at the bottom but he didn't say anything. 

It was Simon's way of showing you it was okay not to talk, you nodded slightly, Simon smiled before getting up to get you the churro. He placed the churro along with a small bag on the table in front of you. When he sat back down he made a point not to look at you, giving you privacy, Simon knows what it feels like to not have food, even now he doesn’t take it for granted, and he knows how uncomfortable it can feel around food. It took you a moment to understand what he was letting you do, you slowly took the small bag, you filled it to the brim with food, you still kept some food in your pocket just in case. You tucked the bag behind you before grabbing your churro, only then did Simon turn forward and look at you.

Alejandro came in just as you were finishing your churro, you looked at you eating, then at Simon, then at the table with no food left on it, he went to say something, probably asking how you managed to eat everything in the short time he was gone, but he decided against it. “We need to head back to base, and interrogate Valeria” her name made you freeze, you absolutely did not want to be anywhere near her again. Alejandro tried to calm you down, telling you that you would be nowhere near her, but he had failed you once, even if it wasn't intentional. Simon was the one that found you, you turned to him and he said in his softest voice “Todo saldrá bien. Te mantendré a salvo” (everything will be alright, I’ll keep you safe” it was said with the heaviest British accent, but it was clear and understandable. You nodded, slowly getting up, hiding the bag behind your back so Alejandro wouldn't see, and following Simon. As you guys were walking out he leaned over and whispered to Simon “I knew you spoke Spanish” Simon shrugged, if him speaking Spanish made you more comfortable that's what he would do.

Child Hybrid!wolf reader x tf141 I guess (reader was tortured and made into hybrid wolf) first part of the story takes place in Las Almas during that part of the cod storyline. Request from @wolfiemagic

You'd long since gotten used to the pain, the cold, the darkness. And through all of it you've learned the sounds of the building, the smell of each person, and you could tell something was off. Someone else was here, and not just someone from Las Almas but someone from elsewhere too, either way it was terrifying. I mean you were nothing against the Las Almas cartel, you trusted them and that only made you an easier target, even through everything you're still not sure why though, maybe now you would stand a chance against them, if you weren't so starved and beaten. The point is, the only thing more terrifying to you then the Las Almas cartel, is someone not just willing but actually succeeding in going up against them, and based on everything you can hear and smell, someone most definitely is.

Ghost was clearing the house before they left, and while it looked normal as can be when he first entered, the deeper he got the worse the house got. Now he was in the basement, there wasn't a light in sight, the floor was somehow damp with small puddles of water, but the worst part was the smell, even with his mask on Ghost wanted to fucking puke. Still this would be the best place for someone to hide, or for Valeria to hide something. But all he found were some weapons, drugs, normal shit you’d expect from a cartel, he was about to turn around when he noticed the small door in the corner.

You were right in front of the door when he opened it, you stared up at him, past the gun he was pointing at you into his eyes. You saw the look of confusion as he looked you over, but the look of horror never came, not as he looked you in the eyes, or when he noticed your tail and claws. He just lowered his gun, took a step back “Alejandro, yer gonna wanna see this” you tilted your head slightly, he sounded funny, honestly you liked it. There were footsteps and then Alejandro stepped into view, you recognized him, you had once held onto hope that he would save you. You knew he recognized you as he looked you over, there was pity in his eyes as he realized what had happened to you “ay dios mio” he muttered taking a step back.

Ghost handled you with such care, honestly it seemed to shock the people around more than your existence. He took you to a medic, not ever leaving your side, at some point Alejandro came over with 4 other guys, only one of them you recognized, Rudy. The medic only checked you for serious external injuries, so other than the multitude of bruises, cuts, scars and what not, you were fine, nothing they could do. Alejandro whispered something to one of the guys, the one with the hat, before approaching you, he stuck out a hand “vamos al hospital” you didn't move, just stared at him “y comer?” he added, and even though you were scared you followed him because you can't remember the last time you had a meal, you didn’t even comment about ghost following you two.

As expected, Gaz fell asleep on the flight, head leaning on Soap. Soap was occasionally writing things down, his enthusiasm was odd and even had Ghost glaring at him. When you landed Price smacked Gaz awake “get ready, it's going to be a walk” you just rolled your eyes, of course there was going to be a walk, you were on a mission not on vacation, nothing you couldn't handle.

You were mistaken, the walk was not normal. This was a dense forest that hadn't seen humans in decades, maybe ever. A constant up and down hills for miles, you grumbled about it once but Ghost only said “what did you expect, us to just fly up and let anyone see us” had he not been your lieutenant and father you would've given him the bird for his sarcasm. And then when you got there it was even worse, you guys were not situated in a base like Price said, but rather a very very old run down house, if you could call it that. When you first walked in you were worried the door would fall off or one of them would fall through the floor, that's how old and falling apart the house was. But it was hidden and gave a clear view of an old abandoned military base.

“I’m guessing this is why we just hauled this huge bag all the way here” each one of you had a huge bag mostly packed with food, “yep and if we don't see anything in a month we have to all the way back to get more” Gaz said, and Price added “and we need to go to the stream on the east to get water daily” you just sighed and mumbled “I’m going to shoot myself” Soap just laughed at your comment. You knew the 141 went on missions with worse circumstances, you were expecting this, what annoyed you was the fact there was no guarantee. You might be here for months just for nothing, and based on the way all four of them just plopped down on the limited furniture, they also didn't see much potential.

You went to go sit on a stool but as soon as you put your hand on it, it started creaking, ready to break, so instead you went lean against the wall “so what the hell do you do, to pass the time I mean” Price just sighed before standing up “well someone’s always on rotation watching, two people at night, what you do with the rest of your time is up to you. I'll be on first watch” and with that Price left. You took his spot on the couch, which you personally would've considered just a slab of wood. 

It was quiet for a moment before Soap grinned and said “well since ya seem bored, I have some great stories for ya” before you even looked at him Ghost was already saying “Soap, no” but Soap just grinned wider now pulling out the paper he was writing on earlier. Ghost just groaned "I should've known what you were doing” Gaz was now grinning “oh we’re telling those stories” Ghost just sighed and rubbed a hand over his face “would someone please tell me what stories we’re telling” Soap turned to you “ya didn’t know Ghost when he first joined, and if you're joining the team it's only fair we tell you some stories” you now understood their excitement "I would, love, to hear anything you remember” 

Ghost just grumbled and went to join Price on duty. They only told you a few stories while Ghost was gone, claiming it would be funnier if he was here. They told you how when Ghost first joined the team he refused to ever check his laces because he claimed he tied them perfectly the first time and that they'd never need to be redone. Well they did come undone and Ghost fell twice during the mission, the first time he fell so hard he fell though the floor directly onto the enemy, and then when they were making an escape Ghost tripped while going down hill and damn near rolled for a few feet before he just took the shoes off. You were laughing so hard by the end of the story, you were doubled over having trouble breathing.

Then they told you about the one time they managed to convince Ghost to get drunk, like drunk drunk. He somehow slipped away from them and found his way to a tattoo shop, for some reason they accepted him and tattooed exactly what he asked for which was ‘Ghots’ which was Ghost trying to spell his codename but obviously he was too drunk to realize and they just went with it. Ghost was mortified when he woke up, he vowed to never get drunk around those two again, and he had to get it covered up. Ghost must've heard the three of you laughing because he came down to check on you, when he walked in all you said was “can I see the tattoo” and he immediately knew what you were talking about, he smacked both sergeants on the head before leaving again.

You got less sleep last night then you wanted to. You stayed up thinking about Simon, he had every right to be mad, he was just worried about your safety and you disregarded him. Honestly you're surprised he wasn't mad, I mean he was but he forgave you and didn't reprimand you at all, really he just wanted you to be safer going forward. But that's not what kept you up, you might not be trained like Simon but you notice the small movements on someone's face, how they're feeling without them saying anything, you learned that well before the military. When Simon realized you thought he was just on some power trip, mad you went against orders, he looked heartbroken, it was just a moment before he hid it. He spoke softly to you, made sure you knew he was only mad because he cared about you, it's like the idea of him hurting you even mentally was something he never wanted to think about. You stayed up most of the night just wishing you had remembered he also went through childhood trauma, similar to you, he was terrified of hurting you and you had just assumed he would hurt you without care, you felt so stupid for not thinking.

When you finally got out of bed Simon was already in the common room, he looked up at you when walked in “last one to bed and first one up, not a good combo” you looked at him a little confused “you were up first” Simon shook his head “never went to sleep” you wanted to fuss him, he told you just yesterday how bad of an idea that was, but the look in his eyes stopped you, he had been up thinking about last night just like you. You stood on the other side of the table in front of him. You thought about it for a second, you didn't need this weighing on you during the mission “I’m sorry” Simon just waved a hand drinking his tea “it’s fine, kids your age don’t listen, being reckless is part of it” you put your hands flat on the table, he wasn't understanding “no, I’m sorry for not realizing you were just worried about me, I’m not used to people worrying about me. I shouldn't have assumed you were like them, it's just habit” you spoke softly, and Simon was quiet for a while, “it’s okay, it took me a ‘ell of a long time to realize that, I definitely gave Price a hard time and enough stories for a lifetime. It’s really okay, your better than I was back then” he added the last part more quietly before sliding his untouched plate of food to you “eat”

 Not much later the two sergeants strolled in, Soap fully dressed and up while Gaz was still in pajamas and looked like he was thinking about napping on the plane. “So what did Lt decide for you” Soap asked while fixing himself breakfast, you looked at him confused but before you could ask Simon replied “nothin’” Soap waited, assuming Simon was joking before he looked baffled, even Gaz perked up “what! If I did that I'd be running laps till we left, and then some when we got back. They're new and they get nothing, this is so unfair” Simon didn't even seem fazed. Gaz seemed a little shocked but told Soap “might want to be quiet Soap, you don't want lieutenant giving you laps for talking ‘bout him” Soap just looked between the three of you "betrayal” 

Price came out not long after and Soap immediately began his spiel about betrayal from his fellow soldiers, somehow Price already knew what he was talking about "don't know what you expected sergeant, that’s his kid” almost immediately Soap yelled “I knew something was off” and Gaz added “I fuckin’ called it, Soap you owe me mate” all the excitement drained from Soap as he pulled out his wallet. Price looked at Simon “sorry Ghost, thought you’d told them” Simon just waved a hand, it really wasn't a big deal to him, it didn't need to be some big moment. 

After you all ate and were ready, Price went over the details again, you would be stationed watching a base that was supposed to be empty but recent activity was spotted, it could be for weeks or months however long it took till they returned. It wasn't exactly the kind of mission the 141 usually took on, there wasn't anything really solid to confirm military activity, but Laswell had said it would be a great first mission with a new recruit, she even said it would really test all your skills, whatever the hell that meant.

Never in a million years did Price expect to be asked this question, much less by Ghost. Price had to take a pause and make sure Simon was sober before even considering what Simon was asking. As far as Price knew none of the 141 wanted kids, at least not while still being in the task force, and Simons made it clear in the past that he didn't want kids, especially after his childhood. Yet Simon is standing here at almost 2 am, asking Price if they could adopt you.

Once Price realized Simon was being 100% serious he sat up straighter, rubbing his eyes. There were so many complications with that. You're going to need probably years of therapy to work through what you went through. Formally adopting you and then bringing you to another country, which is harder than it sounds, legally you're dead and with everything Valeria has done to you, you're not exactly 100% human either. Price knows how sick some government officials can be, and if they think you’ll be beneficial for them, they won't allow the 141 to take you. And adding a whole nother layer on things, you're mute, you can't give consent to leave the country or confirm who you are or what you've been through.

So with all those things, the answer should be an easy no right? Not exactly, Simon brought up a compelling argument. Even if the Mexican army wants you, the cartels are going to want you more, and they're willing to harm you more to make you stronger, and willing to go to extremes to get you. Even in Alejandro's care, you will never be safe here. You feel safe around Simon, he might not know exactly what you've been through but he has similar experience and knows how you feel, for him it’s easy enough to adapt to your needs. You need a safe place to heal and learn what you're capable of without being pressured, Simon knows the 141 can give you that space.

Still, Simon's plan isn’t very feasible, his plan was just to smuggle you into the UK. Not to mention, who is supposed to watch you while they go on missions, because it's absolutely not safe to take you on their missions, no matter what you’re capable of. The more Price thinks about it the harder it seems, but Price hasn’t seen Simon this desperate in a while, so he agreed to call Laswell and see what they can do. And Simon said he would stay in Mexico with you for as long as necessary, even if the rest of the 141 needed to go back to get stuff ready. 

Simon had put a lot of thought into this, he knew it was a huge decision but in his mind it was the only choice. For some reason you felt safe around him and only him, in fact the reason Simon went to see Price in the middle of the night was because that's when you finally fell asleep. You ate dinner quietly, then went to the little room that they said was yours for now, you hid some food around the room while you were alone. But you didn't want to go to sleep without Simon, so he stayed sitting next to you for hours, anytime someone would pass by the door, or move around in one of the nearby rooms, your eyes would open and your ears would move towards the sound, it took hours for you to fall asleep, and Simon had to wait another hour after to be sure you were fully asleep and that him leaving wouldn’t wake you up. Simon knows he wants to be there to help you, no matter what it takes.

Getting you to trust Price was surprisingly easy. Because the guys were staying for longer than expected and their mission was technically over, they needed a place to stay. Thankfully Alejandro was able to arrange a place for all of them almost directly next to his team. But the place was mostly empty, only really had the major furnishings like beds, couches, and a table. Other than appliances the kitchen was entirely empty, so Price headed out with Alejandro to the store, and so that you could feel more comfortable knowing there was food for you, he also took you.

But before you left the house, Price went out to get you things to help while being out and about. He got you cute bunny ear muffs, both to help hide your ears, and because he knew you had sensitive hearing and being in a store surrounded by people would likely be too much. He got you something small to fidget with and a small stuffed animal, just so you had something to hold. There wasn't much he could do to hide your tail, so he bought a long dress and a long jacket to go over your regular clothes. Price let you choose what you wanted to wear. He just wanted you to be comfortable while still hiding you from the public like Laswell had recommended.

You just stared out the window while driving to the store. You recognized everything, but yet it still looked different to what you remember, maybe that's what happens when you're locked in someone's basement for years. You guys were there before you could dwell on it too much. Price patiently waited for you to get out of the car, you immediately were hiding behind his legs, no one was watching you but you hadn't seen this many people in years, and you're all too aware of how you look compared to normal people. Price walked in the front, letting you hide behind him, and Alejandro walked behind you, not too close to make you feel trapped but close enough to make sure nothing happened to you.

Price didn't rush through the store, but he also didn't linger in one place for too long. At first you just watched Price, saw everything he was looking at and what he picked up. Mostly you just stared blankly, but when he grabbed something sweet you could help staring. Alejandro saw you clutch your stuffed animal harder, mouth slightly open, and he saw the disappointment on your face when Price put it back down. Price moved forward but Alejandro stopped him, he picked up what Price was just looking at “¿Quieres esto?” (Do you want this?) you nodded slowly, and Alejandro passed it to Price to put it in the basket. “Make sure you tell me what you want something, just pull on my shirt” Price waited for you to nod before continuing.

By the time you guys left the store Price somehow had multiple sweet deserts, juices, candy, and even some more crayons in the basket. You happily followed Price to the checkout, hiding behind his leg so the cashier couldn’t see you. Even with you attempting to hide, they still saw you, even offered you a sticker. When you guys got in the car, Price snapped a picture of you, candy in one hand, juice in the other, sticker on your face, you weren’t exactly smiling but you were clearly happy, Price sent the picture to Ghost with a  thumbs up.

So thus began the waiting game. If things went south there was a plane on the way, but the longer you guys could stay here and get information the better. It was still way too risky to get close to the building, they haven't found the body or missing items, or so it seems, but when they do you guys don't want to be near. So Price has two people on watch duty, they are to stay near the house and alert the others if anything happens.

Thankfully you weren't on watch duty first, which is good because you definitely would've passed out. As soon as the adrenaline wore off you needed to lay down, and even though the bed was still as hard as a rock, the moment you laid down you were out. When you woke up it was still dark out, when you left the room the only person you saw was Ghost. “Who’s supposed to be here with you” Simon shrugged “you” you immediately went to complain how no one told you, not wanting to get in anymore trouble with Price but Simon just stopped you “it’s okay, I choose not to wake ya up” 

You mumbled thanks before sitting on Simon's side “anything different” you already know the answer, they would've woken you up if something had happened “nothin’ same routine” he didn't say it but you could hear he was worried. You sighed “when is Laswells plane getting here” Ghost kept his eyes on the base the whole time “last she told Price, later tonight. Doesn't necessarily mean we're gettin’ on though” he was right, as much as the plane gave you a sense of safety and rescue, it all depended on how the enemy reacted. You got up again “I’m going grab food” hopefully that would help you think.

You came back out not long later and silently handed Simon some food before taking a seat. The sun was just starting to come out when you and Simon noticed unusual movement. All the patrolling soldiers on one side of the building suddenly went inside. You and Simon didn't move yet, just waited for anything else. After a while the other soldiers went in as well, and a bunch more, likely higher ranked soldiers came out, their guns were out and they were on high alert “go get Price” you were already half way out the door when Simon finished saying it.

Price immediately came out while Soap and Gaz quickly put on their gear before coming outside as well. All of you watched as seemingly every single soldier was escorted out of the building, most of them in little clothes, not a single weapon on them. “What’s happening” Gaz asked, it was a weird sight, not at all what one would expect in a situation like this, Price shrugged "they're counting soldiers” simple right? But Simon shook his head “no, they think it’s a traitor” I mean, it would explain why they were on such high alert and why only the higher ranks had weapons.

“But isn't this a bit much still” Soap said, slightly grimacing as a soldier was shoved onto the ground after slightly stepping out of line, “when you're running a secret operation, you're weary of everything” and you all knew Price was speaking from experience. “Exposing all your soldiers isn't a smart move though” Gaz added and none of you could really oppose the statement. Then the guy you had seen earlier, came out, "that's the man, the one who gave me the map” Price slightly chuckled "definitely the one running the place” it was even more clear now, his presence alone had everyone standing straighter and tensing up. Then Simon asked you a question “the guy you killed, you saw his rank?” you shook your head, there were much more important things at the time. Simon turned to Soap “go get the radio” then back to you “don’t think you killed an ol’ soldier kid, startin’ to seem like someone much more important”

It didn't take long to meet back up with Gaz and then head back to the base. Price and Soap were already there when you three arrived. Price looked pissed and tired and Soap seemed to relax once he saw that you three were safe. Price took a breath before pointing at Soap, Gaz, and Ghost “you three outside, keep watch for any suspicious activity” Soap gave you a sorry look and you just stood up straighter, knowing what was coming.

“What the hell were you thinking, what you did was needlessly risky, you're playing with your life and could've ruined this whole operation” Price just went on and on, and it eventually became evident he didn't even fully understand what went down. Still you just stood there quietly, only once Price paused did you speak up “Captain, I think you misunderstand, I didn't choose to go into their base, I was in the open with multiple enemies approaching. And more importantly, I am not some new recruit, I have training and experience, I know what I am capable of”

Price just shook his head, you were just like Simon, the only one of Price's soldiers who has ever corrected Price while being in trouble. Price rubbed a hand over his face “still, you need to be clearer on your future actions” Price went to open the door, motioning for the guys to come back, and when Ghost pasted Price mumbled “just like you this one” once they were all there you gave a recount of what happened inside.  

You explained why you entered the base, where you hid, and the rooms you entered, Price paused you. “So you still have one of their guns and a knife” you nodded, Price sighed “well there definitely going to know someone was in there” you looked at him confused for a moment before realizing you still hadn't told anyone about the man. So you explained that part, and how they would probably be finding him some time today, and how you got his radio. Ghost was smiling proudly but didn't say anything. You explained the new area you entered, and the office you entered, Soap blurted out “so you saw their captain?” he was looking at you absolutely bewildered “captain, sergeant, lieutenant, general, I don't know” somehow that was even more impressive. You explained how he let you off and even handed you a map, now Gaz stopped you “so he just handed over a map?” he seemed pissed that they had gone through so much effort for nothing. Then you explained where the exit was and how you got out.

Price, who had been standing by the window looking at the enemy base the whole time, finally spoke up “sounds like you did what you needed to and got lucky” it was his way of acknowledge that he underestimated you and still saying it was risky “take it all out” you pulled out the map, radio, gun, and knife. Gaz took the map and started comparing it with the blueprints they had gotten earlier, Soap was looking over the weapons, and Price grabbed the radio. Ghost just sighed and said “guess we’re callin’ Laswell” Price put the radio back down carefully and nodded towards Simon.

“Sergents, you're on watch duty. Two people on duty at all times” Gaz reluctantly put the map down and followed Soap out. You sat on the couch next to Simon while Price paced back and forth waiting for Laswell to call. When she finally did call, Price explained everything, or well mostly just the important bits, including all the information you had learned. She was quiet for a moment before saying “I’ll get a plane ready just in case, but for now you guys stay there and see how they react. Don’t go inside, just observe from outside, which I could have sworn were the instructions I gave last time.”  She sounded a lot like a mother, Price just sighed, getting ready to hang up, but before he could Laswell added “told you they were going to be useful” in a smug tone before hanging up.
