Under The Chin

Just wanna take a second to talk about why I love tickles under the chin. One of the cutest tickle spots ever imo.

I always found it to be such a cute, wholesome gesture. Kinda just like saying “Aren’t you adorable?” without saying it outright.

not to mention the absolutely adorable reactions you get from lightly tickling someone under their chin. The little shoulder scrunches and giggles? How can you not love that?

rogue being reminded of logan’s “i’ll take care of you” speech when she’s not feeling so good. maybe a fall out with a friend or even bobby, she’s feeling super sorry for herself and sitting in pity. all for logan to welcome himself into her room, picking things up off her shelves and making silly jokes about each thing. but she’s trying to stay miserable and hiding the slight smile creeping onto her face. he gives up and throws himself onto her bed next to her, whining at her to cheer up, flicking her hair out of the way, holding it up into a mohawk just being stupid and playful. she just won’t budge, logan just starts poking her, all out of ideas. first her shoulders, working his way down her side, when she jerks to the opposite side his other hand is there to tickle her other side. tweaking at her ribs and counting them, he threatens to hold her arms above her head all helpless unless she smiles. rogue knows she wouldn’t be able to fight him off, he’s stronger than her. but when he squeezes her knees, she breaks. falling into fits of giggles and squealing out her protests. “a smile looks better on you than that overused frown.” he teases, “now. wanna talk about it or wanna laugh some more?”

Autistic Robin Buckley who really struggles with physical contact but craves a very specific type of touch. She’s way too embarrassed and shy to admit it to anyone, until she shares a joint with Steve and her secrets just spill out. I mean, it’s hardly surprising that her guard went down around him, I mean they did go through interrogation rituals with evil russians. She just rambles and before she knows it she’s telling him all about how when she was a kid she enjoyed it but growing up and hating touch, not being available to it as a lesbian terrified to make a move to a girl she has a crush on. And Steve is just confused because she hasn’t even said the word yet but her cheeks are uncharacteristically pink and she’s withholding eye contact more than normal. With a deep breath in she finally admits it, “I’ve always liked being t- tickled. It’s fun and it’s silly and it can be platonic with a capital p!!” Steve just chuckles that this is what she was so ashamed to admit. Like it was something to be shunned upon at all, like it isn’t the most precious thing he’s ever heard. His best friend is a dingus he thinks, mentally making note of her little fixation to bring out on days where she’s struggling and needs that extra attention.

Mario grumbled as the sunlight from the morning's glowing glimmers blazed clear through the red mushroom-printed curtains shielding the window. Not feeling like getting up, he growled and rolled into his plushy pillow, bundling further into his cushy red blankets like a human burrito. Mario was so warm and knew the wooden floors would chill him to the bone once his feet touched the floor. Besides, he didn't have anywhere in particular to be that day. The red plumber could cram in a few more minutes of comfy, cozy heaven before he had to get up...

He snuggled deeper into his bed, sighing contentedly at the warmth enveloping his cute, plump body. He reasoned he could fall back asleep at this rate. He was way too comfortable to be bothered.

"M-M-Mornin' b-bro..." sighed his younger brother, Luigi, from the other side of the shared bedroom, the drowsiness obvious.

Mario grumbled sleepily into his pillow as he burrowed further. On any other given day, he would have gladly bid his favorite brother a good morning... but that was when he was usually already awake and ready.

Today, he decided to ignore Luigi and attempt to fall back asleep. Mean, but he'd understand! After all, the green plumber had his fair share of sleepy endeavors, and Mario let him have those. Surely, the younger brother understood to do the same.

"M-Mario?" Luigi asked, accompanied by the sound of mattress springs groaning as he seemingly got up to examine the older brother.

Was he serious?

Didn't he know he was still sleeping?

By now, Mario couldn't stop himself from grinning, hearing the sweetness in his tone. Just like his brother, always looking out for his older brother. Mario couldn't help letting out a huff as he held back a cheerful laugh. 

That was his first mistake.

"Hm... is b-b-big bro asleep...?" Luigi asked in joking suspicion. "Am I g-g-gonna have to wake h-him up? Y-You should g-g-get-a more sleep, M-Mario!"

Mario had to bite his lip to keep quiet as the floorboards creaked under Luigi's weight as he neared closer and closer, amusing himself with the image of Luigi's 'suspicious' face, foot tap, and everything. He knew exactly what his little brother had in mind saying that, and he didn't dare move an inch, even letting out a fake snore to make it seem more believable. This... didn't seem to work, judging by Luigi's stifled laughter. It was getting hard to breathe within the pillow, but he kept on, smirking and doing his best to keep from shaking with giggles.

"M-Maaaaaario," Luigi whispered in a sing-song voice next to his ear. "Mar Mar... time t-t-ta get up, b-big bro...!"

That stupid baby name!

Mario let out a poorly groan-disguised chuckle as he rolled onto his side away from Luigi. It was a risky game he was playing now, as evidenced by Luigi's giggles. He was in the line of fire and needed a getaway plan. Fast.

"Wh-what do ya do with-a s-s-sleepy b-bro-ther?" Luigi sang his sea shanty tune menacingly as he prowled around Mario's bed, seemingly looking for the chance to attack. "What do ya do with-a s-s-sleepy b-b-bro-ther?"

Mario smirked wider as he felt Luigi's weight bear into the mattress, signaling he was drawing closer. He couldn't move just yet, though.

Wait...

Wait...

He heard Luigi trying (badly) to stifle his giggles as he positioned himself beside Mario's legs over the covers. He could almost feel his little brother breathing over his neck as his fingers slowly peeled back the blanket burrito. It became harder to hide his amusement as Luigi sang the final verse he was waiting for, "Wh-wh-what do ya do with-a s-s-sleepy b-bro-ther..."

Now.

"Early in the morning!" Mario roared.

Luigi emitted a high-pitched squeak and jumped back in surprise as Mario flopped onto his back, darting a menacing smile towards Luigi. He was pleasantly satisfied seeing the clear "I'm screwed" look written all over his face.

"Uh oh..." Luigi muttered, smiling nervously.

"Uh oh, indeed, baby bro!"

And that was all it took before Mario pounced on top of his brother, pinning him to the mattress by the wrists. 

"WAH!" Luigi yelped and giggled as he fruitlessly struggled against Mario's iron grip. When he realized his efforts were all for naught, he tried reasoning with the domineering older brother. "Mahahahahahariohohoho! C-C-C'mon! I wahahas only j-j-j-johohohohohoking!!!"

"Only joking, eh?" Mario asked, quickly pinning both wrists above his head with one hand. "Don't you know not ta disturb your big bro while he's-a sleeping? Baaaaad things happen ta little brothers who do that, y'nno."

"MAHAHAHAHARIO!" Luigi squealed with laughter, catching onto what Mario was doing. "I'MMA SOHOHOHOHORRY! I'MMA S-S-SORRY!"

Mario found this amusing. He hadn't even started, and Luigi was already laughing up a storm!

"Mm... I wonder where I could start..." he jokingly pondered as he moved his free hand over Luigi's ribs. "Hmm... maybe heeeeere?"

"Noohoooooo!" Luigi giggled.

"You're right... how about... here...!" Mario's hand hovered over his exposed armpits.

"NAHAHAHAHAHAHAHO!" Luigi squealed, his face blushing like crazy. "Leheheheheheave me alohohohohone!"

"Playin' hardball, eh? Well... if-a you insist, I... ohohoho! I know where!"

His evil smile broadened as his hand located the hem of Luigi's pajama shirt. Slowly and carefully, he brought it up to his chest, exposing his bare belly all for his to torture. Once Luigi saw Mario's face and felt the cool breeze against his stomach, he gasped, "M-Mario! No!"

"Mario... yes!" 

"C-C'mon... I'mma your b-b-baby bwo! Um... y-y-ya know... uh... 'Mar Mar?'"

Mario chuckled, "That's cute, 'baby bwo...' but that's not gonna work on-a me this morning!"

And with that, Mario drew a deep breath, despite Luigi's desperate objections and giggles, before unloading a huge raspberry onto the younger plumber. 

"MAMA! WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" Luigi screamed as he kicked his legs wildly under Mario, continuing to struggle against his grasp. "MAHAHAHAHARIO! THAT'S-A NOT FAHAHAHAHAHAHAIR!!!"

"Who said anything about fair?" Mario asked amusedly before unloading yet another raspberry.

This time, Luigi threw his head back and let out the loudest laughter, only stopping in the middle by his infamous squeaky noise. Tears streamed down his cheeks, his fluffy brown hair was a mess, and his face was almost as red as Mario's shirt. It was getting harder to keep a hold of him from how much he wriggled, but Mario was determined.

"Wow! Squeaky already, eh?" Mario asked, chuckling himself. "Thahahat didna take long!"

"Jeheheherk!" Luigi tittered.

Immediately, the green plumber knew his mistake as Mario shook a finger at him and said, "Seems ya still have more ta learn, huh?"

Frantically, Luigi tried apologizing, but it was too late. Before he could say more, Mario's fingers began skittering all over his abdomen, which cut off any protests or apologies with squealish laughter.

"NOHOHOHOHOHOHO!! NOT THERE! NOT THEHEHEHEHEHEHERE!!!" Luigi begged, now starting to wheeze.

For a moment, Mario stopped, allowing Luigi to catch his breath for a bit. Once he was (somewhat) freed, Luigi began gasping, coughing, and sputtering as he regained control. Mario then asked, "You okay, Lil bro?"

"Mmm... mm... mhm..."

"You sure?"

"Ah hah..."

"Good... because I got MORE!"

It was then that Mario went for the jugular: the belly button.

"NAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" Luigi squealed as Mario's fingertips brushed softly around his navel. "AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAhahahahaha!!! Nooooooooo"

"Aww... whassamatter, bro?" Mario teased.

"Y-Y-Yohohohohou're-a JEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHERK!!!"

"Do you give?"

"Wh-wh-WHAHAHAT?!"

"Do. You Give?"

"YES!!! YEHEHEHEHES!!!"

"Pinky promise?"

"MAHAHAHARIO!"

"Shan't do a thing if I don't-a get a straight answer, bro!" Mario smirked before planting yet another raspberry.

"WHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! OKAY! OKAHAHAHAHAHAY!! P-P-PINKY PROMISE! PINKY PROMISE!"

"As you wish!"

And just as quickly as he started, Mario withdrew both hands and sat back up, beaming lovingly at Luigi as he wheezed, the occasional giggles escaping his system. Mario would never say it out loud, but his brother's laughter and smile were infectious... part of the reason he loved doing this!

"Ha... ha... hoo..." Luigi huffed, holding his hands over his heart. "Y-You got me, b-b-bro..."

"It's-a my job, Lil bro," Mario chuckled, brushing away a few tearstreaks. "you okay? For reals?"

"Mhm... j-j-just... lemme... lemme b-b-breathe..."

"Okie-dokie... you wanna grab breakfast after this?"

"C-Can I get dressed f-f-first?"
