Get Your World AIDS Day #PlaySure Kit!

In recognition of World AIDS Day, we have introduced a new, limited edition #PlaySure kit and bag designed by Marc Jacobs.

The #PlaySure Kit, first introduced on World AIDS Day 2015, is an innovative safer sex tool designed to hold everything New Yorkers need to play sure, such as condoms, lube and prevention pills of choice (e.g., PrEP, PEP, HIV medications). In the last two years, we’ve distributed more than 147,000 free kits across the city.

The limited edition Marc Jacobs #PlaySure Kit will be available for free at participating community organizations, the City’s Sexual Health Clinics and at many community events throughout the year. Distribution locations are also available by calling 311.

Prevent HIV by Getting Screened for STIs

Our new data show that HIV-negative gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men who are diagnosed with rectal gonorrhea or chlamydia are at a higher risk for HIV.

All New Yorkers should:

Know how to find health care providers who are knowledgeable about the sexual health and HIV prevention services they need. Use the NYC Health Map to find providers. 

Know that our eight Sexual Health Clinics provide low- to no-cost services, including testing and treatment for STIs, including HIV, to anyone 12 years and older, regardless of immigration or insurance status, on a first come, first served basis, six days a week.

Be open and honest with their doctors to get the most effective health care services; this means telling their doctors everything, including details of their sex lives and drug use.
