Reflection on the Play:Create Project
Working as a team definitely takes communication, commitment and patience. We all work at different paces and have different abilities so its about making sure everyone is getting to speak and everyone is getting a share of the workload. I would say our communication was our strong. We constantly were in contact and everybody had their ideas voiced and had a vote on the idea and decisions.
I would also say we worked well as a team and distributed the work load well. The positives I will take from this project is that fun is essential to all art projects and it will spark your creativity and keep you motivated. Playfulness definitely makes work easier so always remember to play.
Things I have learnt in this project:
Improved my ability at using Adobe Illustrator
Using final cut pro
Improved at Lino-printing
My knowledge of pubs in Liverpool
Logo design
Type that compliments your project
Experience in giving a presentation
Working as a team
Taking chances wether they pay off or not
Things i need to improve:
My final cut pro ability
Making a powerpoint presentation
Long live the Drunken Swans
Research
Here are a few links I looked at when we first started working on the project and I also used to prepare notes for the presentation:

There are many interesting facts amongst these links, some of which are really odd and I really wonder how the statistics were found!
Was I pleased with what our group produced? YES.
I really am pleased with what we managed to produce as a team. To begin with I was a little unsure as to how the whole chain reaction idea would work out and wether it was going to be a long complicated task but I was very happily surprised! All of the videos and examples we watched were really big and complicated so for a first time attempt I think we did VERY well! I also feel we linked our booklets and video together well with the ‘hands on, handmade’ theme.
I am one proud team member!
If we were to do this project again I don’t think there are many things I would change.. Maybe experiment with different ways of filming the reaction, more close up shots maybe with a better high quality camera? But a part from that everything worked out just as it was meant to!
