Player x Reader
Summary: Bandaging and scolding your partner for their recklessness.
Author's note: I was about to reject this request because I didn't understand what you wanted me to do, I thought you were asking for Reader x Reader. I shouldn't be allowed on here right after waking up
Word count: 1306
Funny! This is kinda a bit of a self-love kind of situation, but I get it! I'll do my best!
Based Player off of @archiarthur's interpretation of them, check them out if you don't already know them! Their art is really pretty.
This takes place during Demo 2 pre-rewrite, since it's more lighthearted compared to the next Demo or so.

"You really need to be more careful with these things.."
You grumbled under your breath as you wrapped another roll of bandaging over your partner's wrist and forearm. Who was leaned against a tree after yet another fight gave them another lashing, one that scared you half to death.
They, on the other hand, looked like a kicked puppy with how pouty they were.
"I know– Ack–" They flinched, and nearly pulled their arm back when you wrapped the bandage a little too tight. "That hurt!"
"Sorry, dear."
It wasn't an uncommon occurrence, sure, but you still didn't like how often your— Kinda lovably dumb— Partner loved to get into trouble.
"This is the third time today.." Your head dropped with an exaggerated sigh, your next words a disgruntled mumble. "Sometimes I can't help but think you're doing this on purpose.."
You tied off the bandage around their wrist, and leaned back on your palms with a sigh.
A break sounded so good right now, if only for your sanity to stay intact.
Your gaze darted up at your partner, elbows on their knees while their hands held up their chin, the most lovestruck look on their face.
It was hard to stay mad at such a sight, you rolled your eyes to avoid your displeasure breaking.
This, of course, didn't go unnoticed by them, as they leaned toward you with a dumb smile.
"Hehe.. I'm lucky," They batted their lashes at you with a wistful sigh. "I get to see your face like this so often.. You're like an Angel.."
Oh how you hated it when they said stuff like that, any hope that your anger would last another second had disappeared. All because of that one line they liked to pull out so much.
You let out a slow deep sigh, and leaned forward— An action your partner took as one to kiss them, if their widened grin and squeal was anything to go by.
"Well, if you're planning on being a dummy," You flicked their forehead, they let out an exergerated 'Ow' as they rubbed at the area while you continued. "Then it's only fair I help out in battle, yeah?"
Their feigned sad pout was replaced by a perk of their head and a stern response.
"No." They reached to grasp your hand in theirs, their thumbs a gentle caress over your knuckles. "What if you get hurt?"
"So you getting hurt than me is the better alterative?"
They glanced down, eyes glued to the grassy ground beneath you two. Their grip on your hand became firmer.
"I'm the person that Shedletsky asked to do this, not you." They looked up at you, and slowly brought out a hand to cup your face. "You shouldn't get hurt for something you're weren't asked to do.."
The bandages on their palm prevented you from direct contact with their skin, it's hard to tell if they could feel the warmth of your cheek.
Still, despite the hot weather of the Turitopulis forest, it wasn't enough to cover the chill that seeped through their hand.
You didn't comment on it however. Instead you leaned into it with a small peck against it.
".. Did he say you have to do this alone..?"
They faltered, face slightly flushed while they deflated.
".. No.."
A faint smile, before you pulled them by the collar of their shirt— Took them by surprise as your lips met theirs.
Gentle, and slow, your feelings poured into the kiss, which they returned without another second wasted.
You broke it a moment later, while your partner chased after you. Only to be stopped by a hand over their mouth.
"I'll give you kisses like this after fights if you let me help out.."
Their eyes widened, and pushed themself out of your personal space. Back against the tree bark with an over exergerated look of horror on their face.
"You're so cruel.." They gasped out as they nervously brushed back their hair. As if the given offer was one between life and death. "I love you, and your kisses.. But I want you to be safe..!"
A brow rose at their protest, and a second later you crossed your arms with a sigh, near solemn tone to your voice.
"Sounds like you don't want my kisses anymore, oh well.."
That made them scramble— Practically threw themself at you with a look of horror, hands clasped together as to beg for forgiveness.
"No! I do want them—"
They cut themself off after their voice cracked, stared hard at the ground with pursed lips.
But eventually hung their head low, mumbled something you couldn't hear. Defeat clear on their face.
"—Fine! You win! But I'm in front, okay?"
You couldn't help but flash a grin in triumph. Good thing you had tricks of your own to get your way.
Although it can get to a point sometimes, their concern warmed your heart, truly. You just wish they weren't so overprotective.
A chuckle left you as you gave a lazy shrug.
"As long as I get to fight by your side, that's fine with me."
Your partner sighed in relief as they held your hand again, the pad of their thumb pressed circles gently into your palm. Their lips opened and closed, a frown pulled to the side.
Hesitant.
But ultimately brought your hand up to their face, with a kiss to your knuckles and a wink thrown your way when they let go.
"Welp!" They dusted off their pant legs as they stood up, and offered their hand to you. "Time to get back to the quest! Of the Legendary Swords of Time!"
You blinked.
".. Did you just make that up..?"
Their shoulders hunched slightly, with a cough as their face became tinted red.
"N—No.. You're supposed to be impressed by it.."
'Oh yeah they definitely did.'
You hid a smile behind your hand with a snort, and took their hand.
"I do like it," You put a hand under your chin after you rose to your feet with their help, a hum your voice. "But I think I like the sound of 'Swords of Time' more though."
A drop of the shoulders, and a glance away as they fiddled with their collar.
"Well uh, we can call it that then.."
A beat passed by, before they straightened up with a puff of their chest.
"The next group that comes our way won't know what hit 'em!" They struck a pose as they shook their hands beside their head. "We'll give 'em the ol' Razzle dazzle!"
You stared at them, the dumbest grin you've ever seen on their face.
Your eye twitched.
".. I'm getting a divorce.."
That single phrase made them cover their mouth with a gasp, their eyes watered when they lowered it down to their chest.
A big happy smile as they fluttered their lashes your way.
"You want to marry me..?"
You rolled your eyes, with half a mind to flick their forehead again. But the way they looked at you, with those eyes of theirs that you knew you'd miss the moment they turned their back. It made it hard to do anything of the sort.
A sigh left you, and instead began to tread the path ahead of you. Which reminded them of their mission as they quickly walked past you, with a small comment about being the one to 'Take the lead'.
You couldn't help but smile at their eagerness, and took their hand in yours. Gave it a squeeze while your thumb caressed their bandaged knuckles.
It took barely a second for them to reciprocate it, the action kept your mind grounded.
The world around you didn't matter.
Just being with them did.
And by the gods, you intend to stay by their side for as long as possible.

AU | next part .
IT WAS A normal day. Not good, not bad—just normal. The sun was already up, light slipping through the curtains, and the birds outside were doing their usual annoying-but-kind-of-comforting noise.
The weirdest part was that you actually slept.
Like, properly slept. Eight whole hours. No tossing and turning, no waking up at random times to check your phone, no staring at the ceiling wondering why your brain refuses to shut up.
You lay there for a moment, staring at the ceiling, letting it sink in.
Huh.
So this is what being rested feels like.
You stretched, joints cracking a little, and sat up in bed. You didn’t feel amazing, but you didn’t feel awful either—and honestly, that was already a win. A small laugh slipped out of you before you could stop it.
“This day couldn’t get any worse,” you said, not even tempting fate on purpose. It just felt like one of those harmless comments you make when things are going too okay.
Your phone buzzed.
You ignored it at first. Probably nothing important. Maybe a notification, maybe someone reacting to something old.
Then it buzzed again.
And again.
The sound stacked on top of itself until it went from mildly annoying to downright painful.
You frowned and reached over to the nightstand.
The screen lit up, and there it was—Player. Multiple messages. Rapid-fire. No breaks in between like they hadn’t stopped to breathe.
“…Well,” you muttered, rubbing your face, “I jinxed it.”
You considered just not opening it. Pretending you didn’t see anything. You were technically awake, sure, but you could still act asleep. People did that all the time. It was a valid option.
Another ping went off.
You winced. Yeah, no. That wasn’t stopping anytime soon.
With a sigh, you unlocked your phone and opened the chat, already bracing yourself. Whatever was waiting on the other side, you knew one thing for sure—your peaceful morning was officially over.
You sighed as you finally dragged yourself out of bed, stretching until your back cracked. Just from the way the morning had started, you already knew this was going to be a long day.
“Why did I even associate myself with them, anyway…?” you muttered.
You got ready faster than usual, skipping parts of your normal routine without really thinking about it. No extra time spent deciding what to wear, no lingering around doing nothing. Just in, out, done. It was strange—normally you hated rushing.
What was even stranger was how attached you’d gotten. It had only been a couple of months, and somehow they’d wormed their way into your life like they belonged there.
Anyone else would’ve annoyed you by now.
Anyone else would’ve been easy to ignore.
But not them.
With another quiet sigh, you stepped outside your cozy home, locking the door behind you. The thought crossed your mind that you probably wouldn’t be back for a while.
“Oh well,” you said under your breath. “Guess this is what you do for people you care about.”
At least the beach was close. You made good time, the salty air hitting you the moment the sand came into view. From a distance, you could already spot them.
…And the problem.
A group of seagulls had surrounded Player, circling like they’d found the day’s entertainment.
One was tugging at something, another hopping dangerously close, and Player was flailing their arm like that would somehow help.
You had to bite back a laugh.
Raising your bow, you took aim at one of the birds and fired. The arrow barely missed, but it was enough to scare it off—
Unfortunately, it scared all of them.
The seagulls immediately turned their attention to you.
“Oh. Oh no.”
They swarmed.
“NOPE—absolutely not,” Player said, backing away. “That’s on you, [NAME]. I'm wayy too low.”
Before you could yell back, Player let out a dramatic yelp, tripped over nothing, and promptly passed out like a cartoon character hitting the ground.
The others followed soon after, panic spreading fast before they bailed just as hard.
“…Wow,” you muttered, staring at the unconscious pile behind you. “Thanks, guys.”
Another seagull swooped down, snapping you out of it.
“Well,” you thought grimly as you swung your bow again, “I’m doomed.”
Minutes passed. You fought them off as best you could, but more kept coming, screeching and diving like they had a personal vendetta. This was getting ridiculous.
Grimacing, you fumbled for your phone with one hand and typed out a message with the other.
You really didn’t want to do this.
But you had no other choice.
You texted Brad.
Just as your stamina dipped dangerously low and your arms started to feel like lead, salvation arrived—like a knight in shining armor, if that armor were blackened and mildly terrifying.
Griefer finally showed up.
You almost laughed in relief. Almost.
“’Bout time, Brad,” you called out, barely ducking as another seagull swooped past your head.
“D0N’T C4LL M3 TH4T.”
Yeah. There it was.
Without wasting another second, Griefer moved straight to Player, planting himself in front of them like a wall.
He shoved a health potion into their hands, gripping their shoulder just long enough to make sure they were steady before turning back to the chaos.
“DR1NK. N0W.”
Player didn’t argue. They downed it immediately, color returning to their face just in time for Griefer to pivot and join you, weapon already raised.
The next few minutes were… brutal. Not actually brutal, but exhausting in the way that made your arms ache and your patience wear thin.
Seagulls screeched and scattered, feathers flying everywhere as you and Griefer fought them off together—him swinging with sharp, efficient movements, you picking them off with well-aimed shots whenever you could get a clear line.
Eventually, the last of the seagulls retreated, disappearing into the sky like nothing had even happened.
You lowered your weapon, breathing hard.
“Finallyyyy,” Player groaned, collapsing onto the sand and immediately pulling out their gear, starting to paint like they hadn’t almost died five minutes ago.
Griefer turned slowly to face them.
“WH4T D1D Y0U 3V3N D0?” he demanded, voice sharp—but there was no real anger behind it. Just tired disbelief.
Player glanced up, completely unbothered. “Nothing! I was literally just walking around, minding my own business, and then they jumped me! I couldn’t even run!”
You snorted before you could stop yourself. “Sounds like a skill issue.”
Silence.
Griefer froze for half a second—then let out a short, surprised snicker, quickly turning away like he didn’t want Player to see it.
Player’s head snapped toward you. “Hey!”
They pouted, crossing their arms while Griefer shook his head, still amused.
“Y0U’R3 1NC0RR1G1BL3,” he muttered, though the corner of his mouth was still twitching.
You couldn’t help but smile a little. Chaos, near-death experiences, and all—somehow, this was just another day with them.
Griefer said it like a command, already turning on his heel and starting to walk away before either of you could respond.
There was a faint scoff in his voice, like he’d already decided this was happening whether you liked it or not.
You and Player looked at each other.
The bickering stopped instantly.
For a split second, neither of you said anything—then both of you broke into grins.
“Yes!” Player cheered, throwing their hands up like they’d just won something.
You didn’t bother pretending to be subtle either. After everything that just happened, food sounded like the best possible reward. No, scratch that—Griefer’s food sounded like the best possible reward. The man might be insufferable sometimes, but the food at his home?
Absolutely insane.
“The food at his place is the *bomb*,” Player said, already bouncing on their heels.
Griefer didn’t turn around, but you could swear his shoulders lifted just slightly. Like he heard that. Like he pretended not to care.
“W4IT F0R US!” Player yelled, already sprinting after him.
“H3Y—D0N’T RUN,” Griefer snapped back, though his pace slowed just enough for them to catch up.
You followed close behind, shaking your head with a small smile. Your body was tired, your arms sore from fighting off seagulls, but the thought of finally sitting down and eating until you were full made it all worth it.
For the first time that day, you felt light.
Full stomachs, familiar people who—annoying as they were—had your back.
Hello, may I order a oneshot of player from blocktales x reader?
The player and reader are really really good friends since childhood, the player is always there beside the reader but ever since the mission given from shedletsky, they become quite clingy with the reader.
Can it be slightly suggestive? If not then that's alright.

BlockTales Player x Reader
Notes: so yummy.. so silly.. they/them player :> this is my own way of writing player.. so if you find this slightly different from your view.. then im sorry
Who would've thought that the hero is currently crying and complaining on your bed, they whipped their head at you. Eyes full of tears and they're basically hugging your pillow so tightly. Well, talking about your pillow... You can see the tear stains on the sheet... Sigh.
"C'mon now.. you can't keep delaying your trip—"
They just pulled you on the bed into a tight side hug. "It ain't a trip! I'm so bored without you!!"
You almost chuckled at their whine, last mission they told you was you retrieving The Ghostwalker, it Impressed you how much they changed throughout the whole mission.
"You're being quite greedy right now." Player just seem to pause at the thought, their hold on your side softened but still firm. "Maybe it would've been better if I just.... bring you with me."
"What? No way! I'll die the moment I see any danger." Player seems to frown at your reply. "You know this.. Unlike you, I can't fight at all."
They let out a defeated sigh. It was soft but you can still hear it. "I'll leave tomorrow." That's the Player you know.
You raised your hand and gently patted them with a soft smile. "Good luck." Luck. Yeah they needed that.
It went by for 3 days, then a week, then a month. You couldn't help but feel worried, but you trusted their skills enough.
And then there they are. Standing inside your house, eyebags under their eyes, messy hair, and you can see there's many scars around their body.
In an instant, you left the kitchen and immediately hugged them. "I missed you." They muttered, arms wrapped around your body tightly like you'll disappear if they let go. You'll leave if they don't hold you enough.
And so, for the first few days they have been following you around the city. At first, you find it cute. It's like a lost little pup following its mother. Then it slowly turned... Quite troublesome.
You missed them as well, yes, but they didn't have to follow you till the bathroom. "GET OUT."
It's time you confront them about this as much as you enjoy their clinginess.
You can see in their eyes that they were hurt, but not by you. By the memory of what happened in their mission. "I... Did something. Maybe I feel regret, or maybe I didn't. But one thing I know... I don't want you to end up like that.."
They slowly grabbed your hand, their palm was rough, it was clear they knew how to fight, they gently intertwined their fingers with yours, their hand trembled slightly. "I don't know if I'll react like.. how she would react "
"I won't." How can you make sure of your own safety when you can barely lift a sword? "I have you to protect me and even if you're not around I'll just hide."
"You're so stupid." They seem to be more at ease now. "I love it." They pressed their face into your stomach, hugging you softly and letting you caress their scars.

'Crap,crap..!?! I'm late for the date!! Even though i'm the one who asked it..jeez!' thought you, as you quickly ran in the walking street.
You jumped off from the stairs cliff without a care, landing safely on the ground and continued to run and run.
As you continued to ran, you saw glimpse of the yellow person in view, with a smile appearing in your face, you quickly sped up , which were noticed by player, who saw you and just sighed.
"you're finally here, took you enough time." remarked player, you stood besides them, you took few seconds to breathe normally again,
with a smile, you chuckled and spoke "Hehe! Sorry sorry, my alarm didn't work.. Again..-But this time i am only late ten minutes! Not an hour." you replied, trying to defend yourself.
Then you cleared you throat and spoke "Well, you're still up for the date, right my dear wifey?" with that smug smile of yours, player were caught off guard by the word wifey, they just nodded but there were hint of small redness on their cheeks,
jude puts on his shirt while you sit with your knees to your chest. you and jude have been messing around for a few months in secret. “goodbye y/n, i’ll call you later” he says kissing your forehead, you didn’t even say bye back.
—
“jude.. i really like you. i’ve been liking since i’ve first met you when we were teenagers.” you finally admitted, he said nothing back. “say something..” you say slightly embarrassed.
“i like you back.. but i’m not ready for a relationship” he lied through his teeth. jude was always attracted to you, physically but he was never a relationship guy ever since his ex cheated on him. “i can’t be in a relationship but we can do relationship stuff..” he says looking away, you wanted him so bad, even if it meant he can’t be yours, at least you could have his affection. you agreed. ever since that night your friendship was broken. every time you guys hung out, it ended with both of you guys, kissing, intimately holding each other.
you always knew jude was a heart throb with all his fans, it physically hurt you to watch him get all this attention, you were once posted on his instagram and his little bereals but everything of you on his instagram was taken down and you guys rarely even hangout without it ending up sexual.
—
you and jude’s parents were always close and his parents always loved you. they invited you for dinner just to catch up but, as always, jude fucked you in the bathroom, although you didn’t really want him to fuck you the way he does, he fucks you because he wants to, not because he’s in love with you. in the back of his mind he has other girls lined up. you guys went to the dinner table and you were oddly quiet, although you spoke when spoken to.
why are you so bitter rn? lighten up baby
the text made you straighten up and changed your demeanour for the rest of the night.
‘anything for him’ you thought to yourself
—
jobe, jude’s little brother called you. he always loved you and thought you were the right girl for jude, he often talked sense to jude but jude turned a blind eye to it.
jude wiped his mouth after eating you out, this was the first time you guys ever did something so intimate, “just casual?” jude says
“i know baby, no attachment”
—
you were done, you’ve been draining yourself for months and months just to make jude happy, he was your first everything. so, every time he texted you, you ignored him.
he took advantage of how much he liked you, and you’d never think he would do something like that.
hey, can i come thru?
miss u
why r u ignoring me

you shut off your phone, you were relaxing in your silk pyjamas, scrolling mindlessly on tiktok.
you heard a knock at your door, despite it being really late you recognized that specific knock. you opened the door to face jude, you looked at him with no expression, jude was always really bold and vocal so instead of saying something he pushed you out the way to let himself in your loft. he was watching the window looking at piccadilly circus, watching the rain hit your windows. you sat down on your couch and he follows. the silence was thick, you don’t even wanna look at him because of how embarrassed you were. “what’s wrong baby..” he says softly, moving closer to you. you wanted to touch him so bad but you held back. he started kissing your shoulders and neck as he tries to take off your shirt. “no..” you say pushing him off.
“what did i do?” he exclaimed “im tired of you stepping all over me jude. i need you to leave” he left without a pause, didn’t even try fighting for you but that just shows you that he doesn’t deserve you.
present
it was new year’s eve. you haven’t spoken to jude since that moment where you didn’t have sex with him, you stood up for yourself and he didn’t expect it. your instagram wasn’t that big so every time you posted on your story you saw him lurking. he was still watching you from far, scoping out when he could contact you.
you could care less about what he does, you deleted everything that was associated with him. during your healing stages you missed him so much to the point where you’ve completely stopped watching football. his brother often messages you trying to see if you were good, even as going as far as calling his own blood a complete dumbass, but your heart was so heavy and full of love that you told him to not speak ill of his older brother.
his parents were well aware about what happened between you and jude, and it was safe to say they were on your side but understandably kept their distance because they still want to have loyalty for their son.
you were on a date with another guy and you were both sitting inside of an italian restaurant in front of the window with the view of the street, you were in the heart of london, giggling and sharing a bottle of wine. his smile bringing butterflies to your stomach, you haven’t felt like this in so long. the streets were filled with drunk, and loud people, it was a minute till count down so you and your date got up and went to the bar to celebrate the new year with a kiss.
3..
2…
1…
you and your dates lips touch as you melt into his embrace, you forgot about everything bad in the past year. the kiss was short yet so passionate, you pulled away looking into his eyes and you felt a pair of eyes burning into your skull, you look across the room; your stomach dropping with a pair of familiar eyes looking at you with disbelief. you turn away bringing your date back to your table.
jude was hurt, you moved on to better things meanwhile he was left in the dark, he had no one else to blame but himself.
