s01e18 - It's All In Your Head
Episode 18
While Jon was off nerding it up in Texas, Karen Freeman acted as guest co-host in his stead. Karen is a manager, editor, and writer at AppAdvice, a freelance writer for Macworld, a mom, and a teacher. They begin talking about the new iPad and ask the question, "What's in a name?" They discuss all of the confusion brought on by this "name change," but in the end decide it doesn't really matter. In between giggling, your hosts complain about iCloud and Photo Stream, while parsing Dropbox in all of its glory. As per typical guest discussion: Karen touches on what's on her homescreen and which apps she uses daily. Then, they both make fun of Jamie's delirious blog post on a missing iOS 5.1 "feature" and how none of the readers got what she was on about.

s01e05 - You're My Douchiest Friend
Episode 5
It's a super-long show, but it crackles with passion. Jon and Jamie rage about Facebook (and Google+) and wrestle with Path, the thing that Facebook should have always been. They both have conflicting emotions about Path, but they can't deny that Path 2.0 is just about the most beautiful app ever made. They discuss their theories of why Path repositioned itself as the mobile app that Facebook wishes it had. In fact, Jon kinda wishes that Path was the phone operating system in itself. Jon deletes Google+ from his iPhone live on the air. Path could replace Instagram, too, in certain ways, and we always love an app that can kick two apps off the homescreen instead of one. The real problem, as always with new apps like this, is that our friends aren't on there yet.
Question posed by this show: Is the smartphone a better place to be social than the desktop?
Oh, and Aunt Jamie and Uncle Jon gon' learn you some Twitter manners, young'uns.

s01e03 - Space Pirates: Give Me Your Goldz
Episode 3
A solid 4.5 stars. Jon and Jamie talk about TV. Specifically, whether it's possible to connect an iPhone to an iPad to an Apple TV. Or something. Then they move on to the games they love, especially puzzle games, with a serious detour into what's wrong with Tetris for iOS, in that it is a piece of crap. They also discuss app store prices and universal apps. There's a brief diversion into email, which leads to conspiracy theories about Apple's App Store policies and some Google-bashing. Then it's back to games, contemplating the romantic appeal of space piracy and how Jamie and Jon are both item hoarders. Finally, Jon attempts to do math on air and fails.
