If we look at most of the old Adam and Eve paintings, we could perceive that Adam is always positioned on the left and Eve on the right. In reality, this is not the correct perception of the placement of the figures, because Adam is really always placed to the right of the tree of knowledge (the tree symbolizes God) and Eve is placed to the left, giving this figure a negative significance. The right is always the stereotype of the good, of the right path, of things well done, while the left is always referred to as the negative part of life (the sinister, the weak hand, the zero to the left...). Evidently this is not so. We believe in the equality between men and women and we take care not to make the same mistake, but we did not want to place the woman on the right side marginalizing the figure of the man as the old artists did with the woman. But the illustrations are just static drawings. They can't change positions, or is that possible? The answer was in symmetry. In a two-way design, if you place the symmetry diagonally on the central axis, when you rotate the image 180º you get the same image. However, we have placed the symmetry in the horizontal center, making a reflection as if they were in front of a mirror. What happens when the card rotates? Yes! Eva and Adam swap positions. In this way, both can be to the right or to the left of the tree of knowledge according to the orientation of the card. This video shows graphically everything we say.
