Raining in Kyoto - The Wonder Years // Playing Mercy - Arm's Length
I think one of the best things about playing Mercy is when the enemy team is trying to flank and kill you but can’t actually manage to do it.
It’s ridiculously awesome to see the Winston jump at you, then fling yourself at a teammate 50 feet away, then turn and wait for him to chase you. When he does (because you’re in the backline and that’s the only reason he’ll let himself get shredded), you fling yourself at the teammate you were healing before, leaving him behind. And then he gets so frustrated that he jumps after you a third time, ULTS, and starts trying to pin you against a wall so he can murder your tiny winged self but you fly back to the teammate you flew to the first time and he can’t follow.
And then a Genji ults to try to chase you too so you just fly to your Pharah and look down at him and laugh.
It’s even better when you tell your team that you’re being chased and they all just drop everything to murder the flankers and you’re just like YEAH BITCH YOU THOUGHT.
It’s even better when it’s Tracer though bc she’s the actual bane of my existence.
Explain the paranormal Or just tell me what you saw You're having dreams about the silhouettes you draw And you're still laying low But you are hardly missing anything at all It's like the fear of missing out has met its match When you're what's missing I spent my best years playing mercy with your ghost You'll never beat me but you're getting really close And you're crushing up my pills I'm scared to swallow (I slow the speed of sound, coming from your mouth) But I always choke And you beg to differ I matched my breath with your breath I do it just for fun You'd like to think I'm counting each and every one But I lost my focus You call my name with a tin can on a string You can count on me, but fuck, who's counting? You always said you'd be crying if you could I know what you meant But I still wish you would (I still wish you would) I spent my best years playing mercy with your ghost You'll never beat me but you're getting really close And you're crushing up my pills I'm scared to swallow (I slow the speed of sound, coming from your mouth) But I always choke And you beg to differ If I knew half the things you know I'd never shut the fuck up, oh You only slept right in the cold Shoot for the sky 'til someone goes I wrote it down so I'd remember I need to write my thoughts down more But I could barely read my own damn writing I've always rathered reading yours I've always rathered reading yours Begged them to burn your body They buried you instead Said you couldn't tell the difference when you're dead When I'm scared to swallow Where you go, I'll follow I'll follow

You can count on me
But fuck, who’s counting?
Ladies who play Overwatch:
Heya! I’m really curious about this stereotype that pervades the OW community: why does everyone seem convinced that female players only play Mercy or D.Va?
I’ve done a lot of research into the role of women in gaming and this is one question that still interests me. I have my own reasons for playing Mercy and support in general; OW was my first FPS so not having to worry about aiming while I got the hang of the game was a godsend. In addition, I absolutely adore characters with wings. Mercy’s mobility is the biggest appeal to me now; while I have the most hours on Mercy, Ana is my second-most played hero.
So, ladies, what are your reasons? Would you be so kind as to reply to this post (or reblog!) with your reasons for playing Mercy/D.Va, or your reasons for NOT playing Mercy/D.Va, or your reasons for playing whatever characters you do?
PSA: I’m not looking to start the debate ‘girls can’t play video games’ debate here, so PLEASE don’t go there. There’s loads of other threads you can check out for info on that topic; kindly don’t here. Thanks!
@ourwinterschnee wait for it :3
That feeling when you pull quadruple ress and potg get Pharah’s double kill.
I think it’s called bitterness
