Trying to keep my characters Different from each other in Wayhaven but there's so much fun in having characters with mommy issues so neither of them have a Flawless relationship with Rebecca.

Silas is pretty pleasantly neutral on his mom but she has affected him in a negative way even if he doesn't like thinking too hard on it. He's someone who doesn't register he probably needs therapy for it, but he's busy. Like he's going to be fine working with her. Not ecstatic or anything, but he's like 'It's nice that i get to spend more time with her finally. Weird way for it to finally happen, though...Why am I so scared of getting attached to people again? Guess I must've been born weird.'

meanwhile Esme does not want to be close to Rebecca. In her eyes, that ship has sailed back when she was a lonely little girl crying for her mom all the time. She feels like she needs to be set in her ways about it even if it means everyone awkwardly has to be present for her telling her mother to leave her alone unless it's job-related. Which is great :) I do think she'll soften eventually as the story progresses (I'm only replaying book 1) especially because Nate makes good points about regrets, but I don't know if they'll ever be close.

after playing Esme/Mason for so long i must say it....I prefer 'sweetheart' over 'handsome' now that i'm playing a male detective. Bring back sweetheart to me.
