chocolatey eyes flicked to meet hooded brown orbs, the two of them so close he could smell the alcohol on their breath, the cologne lingering off their clothes... it was when the other spoke that he snapped out of his thoughts— didn't take long 'fore giving them the answer they waited for,
“ make it two, ” he'd push the red, empty cup in their palm and take a step forward, shoulder bumped into shoulder, he'd brush past the stranger but lean close,
“ you know where to find me. ” a lopsided smile and a pat on the shoulder, harrington would walk back towards the crowd and merge with it— he wanted to be found, but he'd still make the man look for him.
Lian giggled as she ran throughout the corridors of the watch tower, carrying Halloween themed stickers in her arms. Her grandparents and Daddy had tasked with her decorating the watch tower with stickers, since the mean bat was in Gotham.
Skidding to a halt, the toddler dropped all but one of the sticker pages and started sticking them on the blank wall. With her tongue poking out of her mouth in concentration, she didn't notice someone approaching until a shadow came over her. Brows knitting together in confusion, she looked up, "Hi!" She chirped in too good of a mood to be shy.
Hesitantly looking over his shoulder at his mun, Wally looked forward again speaking in a hushed tone, “The boss doesn’t like the dark very much.” He paused a moment making sure his mun wasn’t paying attention, “She also doesn’t like being alone or pubic bathrooms. Talk about weird,” he rolled his eyes and swatting his hand, “She hates germs.”
Tangent Comics Drabble Prompt Wonder Woman: "Our muses have been exiled to another planet." Req. by playinghero.
"Is going to Mars the coolest thing ever, or is it the coolest thing ever? Man, I didn't even think it was possible to scan the planet and make it liveable!"
The Flamebird, created by R.J Brande and lavishly updated with the latest in Dey technology, reached its destination. Granted, all the voices in Russian and English that were being transmitted through the radio waves and speakers could have spooked anyone not familiar with this specific world's history. After all, it's more than common knowledge that decades ago the Americans took the Moon for themselves while the Russians beat them by dominating Mars.
But instead, all it did was excite Virgil more. Lia on the other hand...her body language and her slump in her seat just exuded complete and utter anger.
He received a glare and a huff in response. She turned her head to look out the window; while there was no longer a USSR, the Russians left their old symbols on anything and everything that existed. How wonderful.
Sighing, Virgil looked out as well -- he hasn't had any reason yet to travel to Russia on his world, but he assumed they weren't bad people. Maybe a tad grumpy, as the one in charge of visitors to the planet seemed to be. But the welcoming party on the other hand--
"Dobro pozhalovat! Welcome, American heroes!"
The large bearded man, replete in General's clothes, stuck his arms out in welcome. The band played Russo-folk tunes in the background, once both of them touched the red carpet.
"Ah, a young...black man and the Flash! Those Americans do not know what they missed! Kak djal. So much for diversity," the General commented. "Do you know, you remind me of a young Captain Comet..."
Virgil looked at him strangely, eyebrows raised. That was the guy who was one of the first black superheroes here, right? Did this General think they all look alike? "I have a name. It's Static."
Lia crossed her arms. "We're not here because we support you."
"But we were the ones who could accommodate you!"
"Only because there was no other choice! You guys were totally, like, the least worse option!"
A little whimper came out, her voice breaking. "I'm not the one who, like, totally, majorly, accidentally fried classified files. That was him!" She pointed a finger to her friend. "Which is why we're here in the first place!"
She hid her face in her hands. "How embarrassing! To be in total outdates Soviet Mars!"
"In my defense, she blinded me! And the First Lady -- hold up, did you just say Soviet?"
