Random thought i believe more leagues should follow a similar league structure to the Scottish top flight, especially in women's football by splitting the league in two for the last 5 or 6 games of the season because most leagues have 12 teams like us with the outlier being liga f.
So you have the top 6 who are fighting for europe, play each other for those european spots, and the teams fighting to survive the drop play each other imo it gives teams a better shot at survival playing others around you in the table and actually makes those wanting european football earn their spot than just having a slightly better fixture list to end the season.
Anyway, I just thought i'd share, and maybe you'd give an opinion on it
that's an interesting proposal. and i'd prefer that structure to whatever random playoff tournament liga f is envisioning. i guess we will have to wait to see the details to really make a judgment one way or the other.
ultimately, if liga f is so adamant about keeping 16 teams in this league, then we need to have a format that doesn't add additional matches to the already crazy long schedule. 🙏
yay, great news! 🥳 but also, "world" is a bit of a misnomer right? 😅 it just seems like a subset of teams that compete in champions, anyway.
and man city? do they have enough healthy players because it is a bit concerning?! 😬
