Platinum Log #1

So this is my blog on my road to 100 PlayStation platinum trophies under my PSN ID DarkSoleride. 

The first platinum i achieved after graduating university in the summer of June 2013. I had recently got a #PSVita and it had opened up a whole new world of gaming for me. I could play anywhere in upscaled HD which was incredibly handy. Resistance: Burning Skies this was not my first encounter with Insomniac’s FPS but it was the first i fully finished. I had been playing through the game which it being on the Vita was a decent shooter for the time but when now weighing it against the heavy hitters like Killzone Mercenary it does not age well. However gameplay gives you the enjoyment you need with a personalised story to the new character introduced (Tom Riley) to the series granted the side story added you play a fireman has to go rescue his colleagues and eventually gets caught up in the battle against the Chimera  (the games antagonists). The gameplay is not smooth but not terrible you change between your melee weapon an axe and gunplay between sections there is a multiplayer option however not very active right now. This was my first game i played and from what i remember it was very enjoyable i would recommend it but go in with an open mind.
