“STOP STEALING COMPANY TIME AT THE WATER COOLER.”
All Reno could do was blink. Stealing company time? But how? He was just getting a drink and maybe possibly harassing one of his co-workers. He was certainly stealing NOTHING from the company! He either didn’t get the memo that stated this or he had blatantly ignored it. It was a toss-up between the two right now, good luck figuring out which one it was. So he sort of just awkwardly stood there, paper cup balled up behind his back, looking down at the ground like a child being scolded by their parent.
“Yes, sir. I’ll do better next time.”
My current mood at my boss since last evening. I'm still salty till today.

my place of work made an announcement recently that everyone that uses their computers from home to work would need to install new security software, microsoft users can just download and install a file and call it a day but of course macbooks (which i have) have to have the program downloaded remotely by the technician. And I raised the point of my laptop being 8 years old and anytime I'm on photoshop for more than 5 minutes the computer fans a whirring and working so hard. and I'm like 'this computer is gonna die soon, you should buy me a new computer because current old laptop was provided by you so I don't have to go through the rigamarole of installing the security stuff twice' and boss says we'll get to buying a new computer soon but in the meantime have the stuff installed into current computer.
Fast-forward to this morning when i'm on the phone with the tech guy doing the remote access install and the program won't open, we figure its because this laptop is from 2015 that the software isn't compatible with this ancient system
so now my work is doing the thing they should have done and buying me a new laptop
