Honestly, part of why I appreciate that SkyNani have stayed with bromances instead of romances is because I NEED people to get that queer stories aren't always about romance (and also that friendship is just as important a story as romance). Do you have any unpopular Azula headcanon?

I don't know what counts as popular or unpopular headcanons but here we go:

Kids love Azula. For the life of her, she cannot understand why but they do.

In my mind, it is because she treats them as their own persons instead of babying them or sneering at their existence (now don't get it twisted there are for sure kids she finds annoying but she won't make it visibly known to them)

If a kid tells Azula facts about their favourite thing, she will listen with interest. She will ask serious follow up questions regardless of how silly the topic is (oh your plushies are having an argument... Ah I see, a diplomatic conundrum. Have we considered setting a negotiation room during the next tea party?). There is no dismissivness there. She doesn't mince her words, she doesn't talk to them with that smidge of adult superiorness. And they absolutely adore her for that.

Thinking of Artist!Reader who knew Jason Todd before when they were younger, and had no idea what happened to him at all when they meet again years later-

And just before when they were both kids Reader used to draw him all the time too whenever reader can’t think of anything to draw, which does include color sometimes-

And I am a firm believer in blue eyed Todd first and then green eyed Todd after the Pit, so imagine reader is looking through some old sketchbooks and spots the old drawings and goes “aww I remember that—“

Before starting to realize like thirty minutes in “wait his eyes were blue? Thought they were green..”

And then when reader compares sketchbooks, reader ends up realizing that “oh shit he never wears contacts ever he told me he’d HATE those things what the f u c k happened to his eyes—“

So now reader ends up trying to find out what happened to Jason because they have a gut feeling and reader’s first instinct is to investigate and try and do it subtly bc reader does not want to pry-

So personal investigation ensues along with shenanigans, probably-
