I feel like as a fan of something, I'm not really the best at character analysis. I think I'm an okay writer, but I'm not really that great at picking up on themes and like implied character traits or thinking about what a character might have been thinking when they made a certain decision.
I feel like my biggest strength is just coming up with random au ideas for anything. Tma (the magnus archives) is an obvious one that's really easy to do and tends to be one of the first aus I make for any piece of media I like (I've already thought of like 3 different tma aus for cloho) but it can be anything and I think that's beautiful.
Aus are the lifeblood of fandoms imo, everyone loves seeing their little guys taken from one situation and thrown into a new, but often still familiar, situation, and that's one of my favorite things to do.
