Everyone should consider why New Jeans are being raked through the coals daily, especially in Korea, when many male idols (ahem Kookie) are not.
Genuinely consider what is happening here.
If you still think women are treated the same as artists, I fear you've drank the kool aid. Standing up for the rights of workers was the bravest thing for young women in Korea to do. They stood to lose everything and very nearly did.
Do not forget Sulli and Goo Hara at times like this. When we fight for workers' rights and wellbeing at work, we are fighting for all those oppressed and facing impossible situations that they often cannot share the truth about.
Consider donating to the Shiny Foundation, which provides mental health support to young people in the arts in Korea.
‘재단법인 빛이나’는 다양한 문화예술 활동을 통한 희망의 열매가 새로운 씨앗으로 흩어지길 기도합니다.
