I read pride and prejudice recently and... I have to say, this may be a hot take but I didn't like it😭 spoilers ahead
To me there wasn't enough of Darcy and Lizzy? Like I didn't feel like enough of their dynamic and the progression of it was displayed. A lot of focus was on all the side characters. Which, that's important too but like... it didn't feel like there were enough moments that are typically seen in romance. And for me personally the book didn't even feel romantic. Also I don't quite understand the progression of Darcy's character. He's like, Elizabeth isn't super pretty like okay superficial. And I think that's rather rude and all, and to me it isn't solved by Lizzy going "I was wrong about him" or whatever. Like i get the book is called PRIDE and PREJUDICE. But like idk why is that comment not addressed? That doesn't feel like prejudice that just feels like asshole behaviour. To be clear in the end I do like Darcy.
