My disability has been particularly dynamic recently. I’ll lay in bed for 3 hours, barely able to get up, sit up or even lay on my side, then suddenly I’ll have full energy and no pain, get up, do something minor like getting a snack and then I’ll suddenly be nauseous, unable to eat, stumbling back to bed. I’ll lay down for 20 minutes, then feel better again, then get up, change my bedding, bake something, write something, and I’ll still feel great, but now it’s 11pm and I’m shaking because I haven’t eaten since when I got a snack earlier. I literally dont know anymore dude…

It’s not like he’s here to critique the decor but Joe’s place is seriously stylish. Arty black and white shots of sportsmen that look half way between a photography and a painting line the walls leading up to Ali and Pele facing each other both yelling in triumph by the staircase. A large open entryway with glass tables.

(For the record I do NOT think this is stylish but I bet Xavi would having seen shots of his house on Instagram. Football dudes do be addicted to a black and white photograph of another sportsman. Or themselves.)

Summary: After his mother falls gravely ill, Stan’s life takes a sharp downward spiral. Forced to drop out of school, he’s done nothing but work since his junior year, scraping by day to day—until the night he’s attacked.

A cloaked figure who’s been hunting him far longer than he realized. A secret society of so-called Arcana Users, who hunt demons and wield powers Stan never knew existed. And Kyle, a cold, sharp-tongued boy who seems to hate Stan on sight, crashes into his life and turns everything upside down.

Now, Stan is forced to attend Ebliuleath Academy, an elite boarding school shrouded in mystery and known for its exclusivity. There, he must learn to control his newfound powers and uncover the secrets that has hunted him since the night he lost everything. All while dealing with Kyle — the most insufferable person Stan has ever met… and, somehow, the one he can’t seem to ignore.

I’ve been working on this…for a long, long while. It takes me quite a bit to plan fics in general, but this one?? This is just as big of a project as Young God (A Little Death). As you know, I don’t see a point in starting to story if not everything is planned out from beginning to end, which is why this took so long. Things can change, of course, sometimes stories take life of their own and they grow up like kids and fly away from the nest (ahem, YG.) but you’re in awe of what it grew up to be just on its own, and everything lines up just right and you nod to yourself, completely understanding—this is what it was always meant to be.

So I really hope this story takes that path, but if not, I am perfectly ready to hold its hand for the rest of the way. Please, enjoy my attempt at an adult fantasy Style fic!
