Job hunting (again)

I'm not desperately looking for another job, but I am looking and hoping to find something maybe after another 4-8 weeks. After talking to G yday, I came to the realisation that if I wanted to do a PhD in three years, I had better start saving a lot of money. This is not even considering the fact of an overseas or interstate PhD position. We were talking about scholarships and pay, and G was like 'You should do PhD, you'll probably get paid more than you do now...' And then I realised that that wasn't true - which is kind of ridiculous (not on my part). PhD scholarships are shitty pay!!! 25K a year is probably just more than enough for you to survive if you're still living at home, and not working another job. I'm not even earning that much more now, but I'm only working part-time, a PhD is a '7-day job'! But then again, my argument was that even the pay isn't great, you get publications and a title out of it, which will then allow you to get a close-to six figure salary.... so it all balances out in the long-run, right? 

I'm worried about not having enough savings to survive the next decade now... lol. And also, I do want to travel to other labs in the US/UK/EU etc. as well, so must start saving more wisely!

I need a bf to pay for all my needs. Someone not in research of course. LOL. But I guess in the long run, as long as its something I'm passionate about, the pay shouldn't matter too much....

My favourite days of the week are when I'm working - so thats a good start to finding my passion, right? :D

Tomorrow is my first observed lesson...

I know I'll be fine, but I just don't know what to expect in a critique of my teaching from my supervisor. I also don't know what to expect from my principal coming. Granted I invited her to come watch me teach too but still... Oh well. I'm interested to see how it all goes.
