Hey guys. This is a piece of writing centered around a break up scene. There is another theme too though. Watch out for it.
“I'm sorry. I know this is horrible and I know I've been lying to you.”
“Why did you keep this relationship if-” his voice cracked, “if you don't love me?”
They were there, sitting across from each other at her patio table. It was sunny, birds were singing and children laughing. A completely wrong setting for this. He was right there; but she wasn't. Not close enough to comfort him. Not close enough to take it back.
“I do! I do love you! I couldn't bear it if you died, or got hurt.”
“I-” she drew back, “I love you, but I'm not in love with you.” She was not close enough. Not far enough.
Words would not cooperate with her mouth, they kidnapped her voice and ran down her throat. Her eyes stung, but she wasn't the one being hurt. She couldn't cry. “I'm- I'm sorry.”
“It's not okay. I do not accept your apology. This is not okay.” He stood up roughly; the chair was oddly loud in their silence as the back met concrete. He closed his eyes, beautiful brown eyes, composed himself and walked out. Right out of her life.

So! The other central theme is the girl is aromantic! she doesn't know it but she is.
I've thought for a while now a good way to explain the aromantic orientation would be "I love them, but I am not in love with them" so there we are.
(btw, she broke up with him because she felt like she was lying to him)
