Yelling inwardly because I can't see the episode because I can't purchase it on Prime.

Do you ever feel bad about quiting a traditional job? You know, cafes, offices, warehouses, etc etc... I used to, too. I'm notorious for leaving a place that doesn't fit my passion, even if it's only my first two weeks being there.

But you know what, pals, if you are in a position where you can afford to be picky about where you work, BE PICKY. Even if it means searching for other jobs on your breaks, be picky as fuck. Because most traditional jobs don't give one flying fuck about you, just filling a role.

Most every job I've worked at treated me like trash, and was confused when I left.

Meanwhile, working in screenwriting which is one of my passions, I feel loved and nurtured. Yes, of course my boss wants the scripts to be in by a certain date. But if I call him and say "Yo Arredondo I'm having a bad mental day, my script is gonna be a couple hours late" he'll tell my ass to close my laptop for a couple days and take care of myself.

I'm not saying all traditional work is bad or soul sucking, but if you're like me, finding yourself crying in a bathroom stall because you hate that you have to spend forty hours a week being miserable, I know it's scary but look at how you can shift into a place your passionate about. Please don't break yourself down for a company that only sees you as a number.
