↳「headcanon.」 EMOTIONS AND COPING 

                     Raditz hates to show his emotions. People may joke about him being super serious or angry all the time, but that is only because he uses these as a way to suppress his overwhelming need to cry and overall rage over what his life has been and currently is. His seriousness comes into play when he’s called weak or stupid ( which he’s not at all ) but in order to appease his higher ups he just simply accepts these insults, but deep inside if the situations were different he’ll show them who’s weak and stupid.  He uses sarcastic humor as a mask the undeniable depression he’s in. Trying to show off that he simply some big asshole who has nothing better to do than to be an asshole.

                    Now there’s the emotions of wanting and being wanted that translates to his unhealthy use of sex for experience a sense of being loved. He’s aware of this and has made it clear in his head that his escapades are just simply that and nothing more. He has no intention to fall in love or let himself to feel that. He truly believes he’s not worthy of that and who would want to love an unstable mass murderer anyways. Raditz uses the act of sex as a way to get some dominance over his partner, knowing that he has full control is something he enjoys and is his way of countering the remarks of him being useless,weak, and a stupid dirty monkey that he has/ had to live with. Despite that he doesn’t abuse this power because he knows the other isn’t at fault for this. 

                  Friendships are far and few. He still won’t open up to them and are there to simply have some fun with when he is up to it. Loneliness is something he is used to and even though its an everyday thing he does wish he could spend time with others, but his own self loathing and low self esteem keeps him from doing so. 

                   He’s a literal ticking time bomb

The Hunt

The Hunt refers to the two periods in each Navkan year where certain monsters are at their most aggressive. The first month of Autumn and the first month of Spring. During these periods, monsters that enter a hibernation state during the Winter are at their most aggressive, often looking to eat large amounts of food to either prepare for hibernation or make up for calories lost during. (Though some joke that they're being driven into a frenzy by one of the moons.)

The Huntsmen are also most active during these times. It's only natural given how much of a threat these monsters are to even the larger more fortified cities. So people are encouraged and rewarded for kills. Including a competition where the winner gets a boon from the royal family (or whoever is the highest rank in that particular area).

Due to the surplus in meat, these months are also considered a feast-like period. Meat is often distributed to the masses at discounted rates, if huntsmen don't give the carcasses for free.

someone seeing keith first when he’s fighting --- this terrifying, bloodthirsty beast, and then meeting him again late when he’s back to human form and being very confused because this guy is bright and charming and friendly, and a bit of flirt, but he was literally trying to rip someone else apart are you ok dude??
