Autistic Headcanons: Wendy Pleakley (Lilo and Stitch)

Things people often get wrong when drawing Pleakley

(This is not a vaguepost! This relates to dozens of drawings of Pleakley by dozens of different artists that I've seen over the span of many months! I thought I'd share this info to help others.)

Pleakley's legs are shorter than you think. However short you're imagining them to be, they're shorter than that. Giving Pleakley long legs is the #1 error I see in Pleakley art. Hell, even the live action Lilo and Stitch made this error.

Pleakley's blood is not red, Pleakley should not be blushing pink! Pleakley's blood is green and purple. Yes, both colors, no, I don't know how it works. Either one of these colors works for Pleakley's blush, but not pink.

Pleakley's skin is not green. Instead, it's a very desaturated goldenrod-yellow color.

Pleakley's eye does not have an iris. It is just the sclera and the pupil.

I love Pleakley. And her outfits are great. BUT HER MAKEUP TASTE IS SO BAD.... every time I draw her I give her better makeup than in canon because dear lord.

Red or magenta lipstick looks awful on yellowish-green skin, it makes her look washed out. Her sister Pixley can rock magenta lipstick, but that's because Pixley's skin has a greener undertone. Pleakley is slightly yellower than the rest of her family- here are some pictures for reference:

So with a more yellow skintone, Pleakley looks AWFUL in red or magenta lipstick. And yet she insists on wearing red lipstick often. Every time Pleakley wears blush, that looks awful too!

Girl. That makeup looks atrocious.

Nani was right in Stitch! The Movie- red and pink really aren't Pleakley's colors.

I think Pleakley would look good in blue or purple lipstick. Especially purple, since that's one of the colors of her blood.

As for blush, maybe a green would work, because, again, that's one of the colors of her blood. Green blush would also help her look greener, and might make pink lipstick actually look decent on her.

Rough Lilo and Stitch pre-canon timeline with details, because I've gone insane.

This does NOT include Stitch Has A Glitch bc that movie is clearly set in a different continuity from the series- it was made by different people, gives different names to some side characters (Teresa to Aleka for example), has Mertle's dad still around rather than a deadbeat like in the series. So Stitch Has A Glitch is a completely separate timeline, and most of my evidence comes from the series timeline.

TL;DR- Jumba's experiment rate was 2 per month on average. Also, Pleakley is younger than he seems.

If anyone's wondering why I assume they age at a human rate, it's because of the experiment Babyfier. Jumba states that the effects won't wear off, but the subject will grow up naturally- and states the average age of adulthood around 18 to 20 years.

Approx. early 1950s~1960s: Jumba Jookiba is born.

The high end of the scale is based on average college graduate age and the fact Jumba seems to be fully grown in his college graduation pic, and the low end of the scale is based on the fact Jumba was a child prodigy. Taken into account in both is the fact it would take longer to become a doctor (like he and Hamsterviel both did) than it would to graduate college normally.

1973 (approx. 30 years before canon): Contact with Earth. Cobra Bubbles, then in the CIA, convinces the aliens that mosquitos are endangered.

Due to how unfamiliar aliens seem to be with Earth (having trouble pronouncing the word and not even remembering that the planet is covered in water despite that being like the most notable feature of Earth as a planet), I highly believe that this was first contact.

Early 1970s: Wendy Pleakley and Bertley Pleakley are born. Pixley Pleakley may also have been born at this time, or she could be slightly older or younger.

Due to how Bertley says he wanted the name "Wendy," as if it had been an actual possibility when he was born, I believe the two are likely twins. Otherwise the name would already have been settled on for the one who was born first, and there wouldn't even be a chance of the younger one getting the other name.

Wendy Pleakley states in Leroy and Stitch that he was obsessed with Earth since before he could walk, so it has to have been discovered before he was born, or when he was a newborn.

Late 1970s (25 years before canon): Jumba graduates college, partners with Hamsterviel to make experiments.

At some point roughly between the late 1970s and the early 2000s, Jumba gets married and then divorced. This is within the 25-year span of time where he makes 626 genetic experiments (a.k.a. 25 or more per year, a.k.a. at least 2 per month on average). Jesus, Jumba, your work-life balance must have been abysmal, no wonder your wife divorced you.

Mid-1980s: Nani is born.

Late 1990s: Lilo is born.

Also late 1990s, likely after the previous point: Wendy Pleakley graduates college with a masters' degree and becomes employed with the galactic federation.

Since he's implied to have failed his first attempt at a masters' degree, he might have had to repeat that part, but I don't know how college works exactly because I didn't go. My mom did get a masters' degree though and she says the average age to graduate with one is 24. If we assume Pleakley was born in 1973 and canon takes place in 2002 (the year it came out), then he's probably 5 years out of college at the most.

A few months before canon: The Pelekai parents die.

Early 2000s: The first movie occurs.
