location: ren’s apartment, downtown.
character: @rensanchez
It was just her luck to leave her keys in the locked apartment when Julia wasn’t around. All she’d wanted to do was grab their mail, but she’d been ten steps out the door before realizing she’d only grabbed the mail key and not her keys to the apartment. She’d only cursed herself for a solid five minutes before a somewhat familiar face invited her into her place. It felt awkward and rightfully so. She’d watched Emmy and this woman together all night at the dinner and then she’d turned around and slept with Emmy the night after. It wasn’t her proudest moment, but it weighed heavily on her as she stood in the woman’s apartment. “Who even has time to murder,” she exhaled, annoyed with whoever the hell it was that was putting everyone on edge. “The one time I lock myself out would be when there’s a killer at large.” She wasn’t sure which made her panic more; being in the apartment of her ex-girlfriend’s new flame, or out there where someone could potentially get her.
