After making his rounds at the market and dropping his items off at his Jeep, Atlas had found himself wandering around the newly opened space before he’d stumbled onto the area where the firepits sat and so did plenty of people. With his hands tucked into his jacket pockets, he moved around from spot to spot, only deciding to settle once he noticed a woman sitting by herself around a warm fire. Without a word, Atlas closed the space between them and opted for the chair next to hers. Grinning, hazel hues stared down at the fire before shifting her way. “Sorry if you wanted to sit alone. It was either a crowd or crash your solo party,” he teased, a smile still full on his lips. “Guess you know which one I went with.” They weren’t on bad terms by any means, but it wasn’t like they’d talked much in the past year either. “If this is a bad time, just say it. I can’t promise I’ll listen, but I needed a break from in there. All that holiday buzz bullshit makes me nauseous after awhile.”
