how did the slaying of lanius happen? like what method did she use to slaughter him (queen) was it like a mid of day thing or sneaking up to him etc...
Unfortunately, she doesn't kill Lanius for any kind of noble or heroic reason lol, and it involves some long, drawn-out political affairs leading up to it. I kind of flip-flop on the specific details but the basic outline is this, which takes place during Act 2 of Vannika's FNV storyline (the whole thing is divided up into 3 acts):
~3 years after the 2nd Battle of Hoover Dam (Legion victory route) Caesar dies from health complications, and the Courier (Vannika) is invited to his funeral as a special guest. She'd been gone the whole time with a strict "don't fucking contact me" rule but she agrees to show up anyway. She had actually been planning a return herself after she had the personal revelation that her revenge quest against the NCR wasn't yet finished.
At the funeral, Vannika has a chance to speak to Lanius, where he casually drops the bomb that, as Caesar's successor, the first thing he's doing is taking half the Legion forces and heading back towards Arizona. He thinks taking over California can wait, he wants to go home and oversee Legion business in the East.
Shocked and outraged at finding out that her best chance for revenge is about to be snatched away from her, Vannika goes to Vulpes and talks him into staging a coup. Vannika knows of his intense hatred of Lanius, and she could already tell that somewhere in his mind he was already half-considering such a plan, so she's able to convince him without too much trouble.
HOWEVER, their initial assassination attempt at Lanius' coronation fails and Lanius catches onto what Vulpes is trying to pull. The situation rapidly gets worse and the Legion falls into a civil war.
During the first assassination attempt, Lanius never catches onto the fact that Vannika was involved, so she sticks by him over the course of the war, slowly earning his trust and even becoming his confidante at times. Eventually finding an ideal moment after Lanius' faction has lost several of their strongholds and morale is at an all-time low, Vannika requests to have a private dinner with Lanius. There she poisons his drink and then hacks off his head with his own sword (while giving some long fucked up monologue probably)
After that Vannika gets into a duel of some sort against Lanius' chosen legate (haven't decided who yet), and while she wins (barely) she loses her right eye in the fight. In case anyone ever wondered why I sometimes draw her with an eyepatch lmao this is where she gets that injury.
With Lanius and his legate dead, more and more legionaries defect to Vulpes' side, and he and Vannika are able to rebuild a new Legion as the new emperor and legata so they can continue the onslaught against the NCR. And that's the end of Act 2! In Act 3 we find out that, to absolutely nobody's surprise, Vulpes and Vannika's new Legion is an awful, unstable mess that's falling apart at the seams.
Hello! I'd like to thank you for translating Sukisho because thanks to you, I fell in love with it :D. My (perhaps dumb) question is, do you know where the savefiles are located?
Huh, you know I’m not sure! I usually just copy over the whole data folder if I want to transfer saves over, although it could also be the sukisyo1.dat file, looking at the ‘date modified’s on my copies. Sorry I don’t have a better answer for you, but glad to hear you love the game! :)
Oh, you mean this thing?
Sure do! It may come as a surprise, but that’s major spoiler territory! So the answer is under the cut. :)
Iiiiiiit’s a camera so Aizawa can keep an eye on everything that’s going on. Which is…. super gross considering how many sex scenes that thing is in.
I mean think of the place as the hell I guess….even though its jus because all of the horribly insane and violent alternates end up there at some point or another…
Its pretty bad in there….especially with the amount of alternates that got sent there that didn’t really deserve it…. In my opinion at least…
people are coming back to life because: -government conspiracy, experiment gone wrong -the town is cursed by an old, powerful magic... a witch? -cult magic, malicious town shenanigans
