Post-canon, HX is trying to live his retirement era-slash-existential crisis, but immediately gets inundated with prayers that used to go to SWD, this time as Blackwater proper. Out of spite, he goes ahead and starts fulfilling them.
Of course he doesnt mean to keep it up. But then things start to spiral, for the want of a nail style. Before long he’s back to his old ways, deploying dopplegangers (and actually using some of the old ones Jun Wu didn’t kill off) and infiltrating governments to investigate corruption, unblocking civil construction projects, punishing polluting landowners, etc. He’s not a “good guy,” they’re so far beyond that…but literally the entire Heaven has been overturned, who else is gonna help the orphans and poor families???? He’s actually an evil vengeful ghost so destroying the leeches stealing from the innocent is him being evil and dark and bad!!
Actual plot can happen here. Beefleaf would be fun, SQX championing a thing for the beggars and unknowingly starts working with one of HX’s dopplegangers, who seems oddly familiar.
But ultimately the punchline is that HX does so much paperwork he ascends. He and HC are truly both Calamities (or whatever the translation is), managing to ascend to godhood even as ghosts. HC laughs at him forever, but before HX could immediately peace out LW tries to strike a deal w him cause she desperately needs the help of a second competent Civil God.
Overwhelmed by the need to write a Shi Wudu/He Xuan fic where post-canon SWD transmigrates into an alternate timeline where HX’s ascended before SWD could switch their destinies.
With all his memories of Blackwater, SWD rises from his moment of ascension, only to be greeted by Civil God He Xuan. SWD immediately lashes out, mildly injuring HX. HX begins to defend himself, but before things can get too out of hand, Ling Wen steps in. SWD doesn’t think LW would lie to him and act like she didn’t know him, and so reluctantly accepts he’s in a different timeline, but is still hyper paranoid about Blackwater in disguise in heaven. SWD makes up some excuse about being addled, he didn’t mean to attack HX.
Godly logistics need to happen, and LW asks if SWD would like to bring his younger brother up. HX is following them, because technically this is his case, but also he’s worried about Ling Wen’s safety alone with SWD. SWD, paranoid, first refuses, then decides to bring SQX up to keep a closer eye on him.
As SWD settles in and starts making his connections, HX visits him again. HX is stiff and not friendly, but he knows SWD recognized him from somewhere. Worried he’d wronged SWD at some point, HX wants to clearly settle their accounts, make amends if needed.
This display of righteousness pisses SWD off. Where does HX get off acting so high and mighty? When SWD knows the truth of how low he’s willing to sink for vengeance?
Outwardly SWD sets things right with HX, but it begins a corruption arc. SWD wants to fuck HX up and prove HX to be just as selfish and power-hungry as the rest of them.
Meanwhile HX & LW are dealing with their shit boss, LW getting the brunt of the misogyny. HX is her support and confidant in this though, and together they have a plot to expose the bastard’s wrongdoings. SWD is first delighted to hear this, but quickly realizes HX’s involvement means it’s a lot less underhanded destroy-everything-he-cherishes and a lot more gather-incriminating-evidence-then-make-a-case.
Additionally, even as LW shows her true colors to SWD and PM, HX begins bowing out of their power-scraping. Then SWD finds out SQX’s somehow been sneaking out and cavorting with HX. Another major fight breaks out, SWD severely misappropriating his strength to kill HX (or HX’s sister, whom he’s brought up to heaven with him) and HX in a moment of desperation whips out a weapon from the ghost king Hua Cheng.
Shit goes down. SWD thinks he’s won, he’s exposed the truth of Blackwater, that even without him switching HX and SQX’s fates, HX’s managed to get himself killed, become a ghost, and then become a spy in heaven. They go to court with Jun Wu presiding. The truth comes out: At some point, HX had unknowingly helped out Xie Lian, and while HC didn’t manage to find XL, the story got around enough that HC, in a moment of generosity, gave HX a reward. HX knows he shouldn’t have it, but being a singular Civil God with little ability to defend himself he decided to keep it on him.
Anyways I don’t know where this is going, but I just want a fic where SWD desperately wants to corrupt HX, but reluctantly comes to accept HX has fair and pretty unbending morals. And ofc SQX falls for HX, and even though HX thinks it’s improper to befriend SQX at this point, can’t help himself.
Oh and at some point SQX is in danger and SWD is desperate, and HX becomes SWD’s support in it. SWD comes to grow deeply possessive and aggressive feelings for HX as well.
now i'm thinking about a dark modern qiliujiu AU with transmigrator LQG.
SJ is the angry fucked up assistant to a conman grifter, and in one of the lulls where Wu Yanzi's left him out cold in a random city, he's shacked up with a toxic ex-military dipshit named Liu Qingge. They met outside a gay bar, SJ noticing him staring. He lets SJ stay with him, and SJ doesn't complain (much) about getting choked and bruised up and fucked as hard as he wants.
One night shit gets bad. LQG is high and aggro and smashes a bottle of SJ's testosterone and SJ gets mad (defensive) too, breaking a glass bottle over LQG's head. LQG stumbles into the bedroom, slams the door shut, and SJ spends the night outside on the couch. In the morning SJ goes and checks on LQG, only to find way too much blood on the bed and LQG staring at everything in confusion
Where is this? Who are you?
The fuck? Don't try to pull some amnesia bullshit on me.
I didn't lose my memories, I just don't know where I am.
SJ quickly realizes LQG is now someone completely different. Whether it's actual magic or just the original goods losing his shit, SJ cannot have the guy reporting him for assault or attempted murder. Also it'd be nice not to have to find another place to live. So SJ coaches this new LQG—some kind of fantasy xianxia cultivator, hilarious—in the ways of this world. Tells LQG they're roommates, teaches him how to use a phone, sends him to work. Also tells LQG that the original goods attempted to assault him, hence the blood. It's true, and also it doesn't hurt to make LQG feel at least a little bit responsible toward SJ for the body he's in.
They become reluctant friends, each reliant on the other. SJ much prefers this LQG to the old one obviously, even though this LQG is a judgmental prick. LQG is still a straight-shooter and openly criticizes SJ's life choices, but is grateful for SJ's thorough breakdown of social strategy in the modern world bc LQG's old ways (kill monsters) just isn't going to to cut it here.
Plot-wise, it's about finding Qi-ge. SJ found some kind of clue about the childhood friend he's always dreamed of reuniting with, from before QJL stole him away and locked him up. He's having a hard time with it though. Meanwhile LQG somehow gets on TV for stopping a whole gang fight and gets hired as security at a corporate firm. SJ cracks the clue, learns it's in the famous corporate building that he has no way of accessing, and is distressed. Until, ofc, LQG says he has a badge 'cause he works there now, and SJ can just come visit. SJ says he'll pretend to be LQG's boyfriend then, 'cause otherwise why would he visit with such frequency?
When he finally finds Qi-ge, it's the worst. SJ was expecting some corporate peon, a secretary maybe. What he gets is a numbers-go-up hotshot, tall and muscular and handsome, post-transition in the most picture perfect passing way. YQ obviously has money and power, but he never looked for SJ? Well hell if SJ is going to act like one of the fawners at his elbows, throwing himself at YQ's success just to get a slice.
SJ goes, and all YQ has left is LQG, the hot security guard who apparently is SJ's fucking boyfriend.
So once again it's up to LQG to adjudicate the qijiu mess lol. Somewhere along the line there's a scene where SJ's injecting testosterone and LQG asks what it is. It's reluctant but SJ explains, and promptly learns that LQG too is trans. SJ gets blisteringly mad that LQG has apparently just popped into a hot cis man's body, why is he the one clawing his way through shit and mud just to get his hands on T that he has to underdose to make last.
There's also gotta be a melodramatic plot point involving videos the original goods made of him and SJ having sex. It's rough, it's degrading. SJ's not saying no but he also clearly doesn't know he's being filmed. YQ has to get his hands on it at some point and go after LQG for it, and neither SJ nor LQG can explain that wasn't this LQG.
Barbie AU where video game Protagonist LBH's perfect Protagonist life begins falling apart because someone playing him in the Real World is going through it. He suddenly finds his pre-battle zingers embarrassing to say, his perfect tits-framing robe collar suddenly don't frame his tits so perfectly anymore, women suddenly don't want to instantly fall into his bed.
So he travels to the Real World to hunt down the kid playing him—a little twerp named Shen Jiu—who should be enjoying all the masculine perfection LBH's meant to embody and that players obviously should be fantasizing about and gaining strength from. SJ, it turns out, is even an orphan like LBH, grew up dealing with abuse. LBH should be his hero.
Except SJ rips into LBH in all his damaged preteen glory like, "fucking excuse me for not finding solace in you conveniently finding all these magical tools and being granted all these opportunities. Banging every woman I meet isn't going to fix my damage."
LBH's utterly baffled and his foundations shaken. He's an idea. He exists as a fantasy for the sole purpose of the satisfaction of his player, but somehow, SJ hates everything he does and stands for. So what's his purpose? What's the point of him?
Then of course he meets SY, SJ's legal guardian. I don't know yet the mechanics of SY & SJ coming to believe LBH but [handwave]. SY's like "oh shit, you're the Protagonist."
Turns out, after SJ stopped playing the game, SY picked it up just as something to do, and in classic SY fashion critiques everything that doesn't hold up like LBH's shitty lines, the faulty physics of robe collars, and literally why are all the women brainlessly pining after him it makes no sense.
Big Picture: SY's desire for LBH to be more than just a stereotype and caricature drives LBH to come to the Real World, giving him impetus to try being a human who makes mistakes, who doesn't get every problem conveniently solved by the plot, who doesn't necessarily get a happy ending, who dies.
SJ ends up accidentally triggering LBH once with a snide remark about LBH's past and LBH learns being human means having PTSD and a panicking SJ guides him through an attack. LBH points out in return that SJ's giving the gift horse a fucking dental cleaning, why doesn't SJ chill out, let his guard down, and let the cute boy at school befriend him already.
If SY has an arc, it's learning not to be dismissive of LBH's choices and make assumptions about LBH's motivations. LBH can't become a real boy on his own—SY has to see him as human too.
Qijiuyuan handmaiden au? 👀👀👀 Is there anything from the au you'd be willing to share? Bc that concept sounds Amazing!
oh boy. It's YQY as Count Fujiwara, SJ as Hideko, and SY as Sook-hee. I long to make it historically accurate and relevant to the Japanese colonial occupation of Taiwan.
But thank you so very much for prompting me to dig up my forgotten draft:
Yue Qingyuan kissed him once, against the rough buildings of the Old City. The names and ingredients of construction materials weren’t within the category of things that Shen Yuan knew, but what he did know was the scrape of sharp brick through that hole against the spine of his shirt. That kiss made his back bleed—and he didn’t even know until the next morning.
But that was years ago. Shen Yuan didn’t make a point of counting Yue Qingyuan’s visits either, so that kiss existed like a hazy liquor dream. Not in manifestation, but in its displacement in time. It was simultaneously years ago and just yesterday evening.
So Shen Yuan was taking care to not stare at Yue Qingyuan’s lips when the man was talking. He stared down at the baby in his arms instead, burping the sniffling thing.
“—Lord Yue, seventh son of a royal political family with genuine Japanese blood—”
Qi-jie sourced most of the infants they took in, but this one in his arms had been Shen Yuan’s own find. The mother had been in terrible pain and on the brink of death, but Shen Yuan liked to think he’d given that woman some peace in her last moments. She’d handed the baby over willingly enough with that achingly solemn nod that Shen Yuan had done his best to return.
“—uncle to marry her himself.”
“Disgusting bastard.”
“The Lord arrives just in time to seduce the Lady Qiu, we elope, put her in an asylum, and you all get ten percent of her inheritance.”
A classic Qi Qingqi brow rose.
“Seems kind of harsh for you, Shixiong.”
Yue Qingyuan’s eyes went bleak and flinty.
“You all know there’s someone I’m looking for. This will give me the means.”
“Besides,” Qi Qingqi agreed, always the first to question but also first to reaffirm her allegiance, “who’s to say she won’t like living in the asylum better?”
A-Luo, Shen Yuan thought, eyes going warm as the baby suckled the tip of his finger into his little mouth. His baby was so well-behaved that Shen Yuan had not needed to dip it in rice wine beforehand. Mu Qingfang, who sometimes cringed after idly scratching his upper lip, was less lucky, and had made multiple sad proclamations that if they didn’t get out of this line of business soon, he’d never stop smelling like a fermentation pot.
“Whoever takes the risk with me gets twenty percent plus whatever jewelry we secret out.”
“Is,” Mu Qingfang said, incredulous, “the job so difficult as to warrant that level of compensation?”
“To my knowledge, the Lady—” An opaque pause. “—is not so easy going.”
“So no matter how easy Yue-shixiong is to fall in love with…”
Yue Qingyuan offered Qi Qingqi’s smirk a noncommittal smile, and Mu Qingfang ducked his head to hide a grin.
“So how about it, A-Yuan?”
Shen Yuan gave A-Luo a sweet, lingering kiss on the forehead before handing the baby to Liu Qingge, who was, as always, scowling beside him. A-Luo immediately began to fuss.
“Shen Yuan,” Liu Qingge snapped. Shen Yuan thumbed a streak of coal from his cheek. “I can’t go with you. It’s an unnecessary risk.”
“It’s expedient.” With a side glance at Yue Qingyuan’s steady, yet vaguely ashamed gaze, he added, “But I’ll take twenty-five percent once we’re done. And a passport.”
“A-Yuan has big travel plans for after?” Yue Qingyuan asked, eyes rainbowing.
“Liu-shidi promised to take me away,” Shen Yuan teased. The coal from the steamship had gotten even Liu Qingge’s ears black, but Shen Yuan knew from his dear friend’s expression that the ear tips had gone red underneath.
Gritting his teeth, Liu Qingge hoisted A-Luo more firmly in his arm. A-Luo’s sniffling turned into a reedy, heart-wrenching cry.
“I’ll take care of your baby,” Liu Qingge vowed.
“Which makes him our baby now.” Shen Yuan reached up to untangle the cloth strap binding his hair. He strolled across the room past his martial siblings’ furrowed brows until he stood in front of Yue Qingyuan.
“So this is to be my debut grift.” His smile was quiet but genuine. “Do I get a crowning ceremony?”
“Of course,” Yue Qingyuan replied faintly, hands settling on Shen Yuan’s shoulders to turn him around. With his back to Yue Qingyuan, Shen Yuan felt large hands brush out the curls his hair before twisting it up into a high bun.
Yue Qingyuan leaned forward to take the dark green crown Mu Qingfang fetched and now offered—the one their Master left to Shen Yuan before her execution. His jawline felt sharp as it skidded past Shen Yuan’s cheek, and his breath on Shen Yuan’s neck felt like a secret.
“You get a new character too,” Qi Qingqi reminded. “You want to do the honors, Shixiong?”
Yue Qingyuan’s lips parted, but no words came out. His attention was fixed like a knifepoint to Shen Yuan’s back.
“Yue-shixiong?”
Something had gone bad, but whatever it was, there was too much sun outside and too much future on the horizon for Shen Yuan to get dirty with it right now. He could figure it out later; Yue Qingyuan would tell him if he needed to know.
So Shen Yuan turned around, his hair up and spine newly bared.
“How about autumn?” he asked Yue Qingyuan, who was always so inscrutable in his grief. Shen Yuan figured he must be missing their Master something fierce. “To commemorate the event.”
“Qingqiu,” left Yue Qingyuan’s lips, and across the room, A-Luo babbled an agreement. Shen Yuan—now Shen Qingqiu—didn’t smile, but he did close his eyes to let that name sink in.
Shen, his family name, a symbol of those who’d birthed and lost him.
Qing, his Master’s name, a proclamation of teachings learned from these poor-rotted streets.
Qiu, his new master’s name, and the object of his first (and hopefully last) con.
Somewhere in that name he was presumed to exist.
//
On Shen Yuan’s very first night in the Qiu Manor, Lady Qiu woke up screaming. Shen Yuan came stumbling out of his closet-bed and threw himself across the hall into his Lady’s bedroom, ready to step between her and any sword-wielding assailant.
He found Lady Qiu thrashing in bed, caught in the throes of a nightmare and her expensive silken sheets. After a moment, Shen Yuan threw himself in the way of danger—he caught Lady Qiu’s wrist before she slammed it into the headboard and pinned the Lady once to the bed with a firm shake.
“Lady Qiu! Please wake up, you’re having a nightmare!”
“Xiao Jiu!” Lady Qiu screamed, face screwed up like a wailing baby’s. Her skin was red and splotchy where Shen Yuan could see under the moonlight. “Help me, Xiao Jiu!”
The weight of Shen Yuan’s thumb on Lady’s Qiu’s delicate wrist turned sympathetic.
“I’m not Xiao Jiu, I’m Qingqiu. I’m going to be your servant starting from today. I’m Qingqiu.”
Lady Qiu’s eyes shot open, glistening like congealed blood in the dark.
“You’re not Xiao Jiu?”
“I’m not.” Seeing that Lady Qiu was settling down, Shen Yuan quickly let go and pulled back to stand up straight. “But where would Xiao Jiu be? Can I go get him for my Lady?”
On the bed, Lady Qiu was silent for a while. Though Shen Yuan couldn’t see her face, her legs were akimbo above the sheets, and her knees looked as delicate as eggshells. Shen Yuan longed to bundle her back up and tuck her safely away.
“No,” came the Lady’s voice, suddenly cold with grief. “You can’t. There is no Xiao Jiu, Xiao Jiu is dead. You. Get a light on.”
Shen Yuan struck a match and lit the gas lamp on the bedside table. The bottom half of Lady Qiu’s face was hidden under her comforter, and her lashes fluttered once in Shen Yuan’s direction.
“You’re…” she murmured, those eggshell knees of hers kicking again. Her nightgown, Shen Yuan noted, had slipped up to her thighs, and only a corner of the comforter was pulled over her stomach, leaving her chest heaving under one thin layer of satin.
“Everybody’s dead,” Lady Qiu told him. The firelight scorched such vivid shadows across her pupils as black as cooling lava. “I’m so alone. Qingqiu, are you here to comfort me?”
Why a male servant? Qi Qingqi had asked while they were going over the details to the job, shapely brows scrunched up in a piercing frown. Shouldn’t a fancy lady be in want of a handmaiden?
There are, Yue Qingyuan and answered haltingly, reasons. You’ll just have to trust me. Her last servant was also a local boy.
Shen Yuan felt something in his stomach go tight at the sight of the Lady Qiu so exposed and vulnerable on the bed like this. And when her hand stretched out, palm open in need, Shen Yuan couldn’t help himself anymore.
He exhaled in passion and leaned back over the bed. He freed the comforter from its useless twist around Lady Qiu’s body in one succinct pull and rolled the Lady up all soft and warm in it.
Then he sat down at the very edge of the bed, resting a hand on Lady Qiu’s now-protected shoulder.
“I’m here to comfort you,” Shen Yuan promised. “I’m here to give you everything you need. My lady is not alone anymore. Qingqiu will take care of you.”
“—qiu…”
Shen Yuan shushed her murmurs softly, patting the Lady’s shoulder in a slow, pulsing rhythm.
“Can I sing you a song?” he whispered.
He counted five sleepy beats before the Lady, almost imperceptibly, nodded.
been thinking a version of hanahaki where it's not unrequited love but unwanted love that manifests as plant growth, and it's not just love but potentially all feelings. Symptoms building up to the full development of the plant are more obvious, and for most people, actually producing and expelling the plant means a total exorcism of that unwanted emotion—as in, it will never grow again. The plant is your immune system's response to the disease of unwanted feelings, and once the plant is mature, you now have immunity to that unwanted feeling.
anyways the qijiu version of this where SJ is a biological anomaly. Fully manifesting a plant doesn't make him immune—it just keeps growing over and over and over again, and hanahaki becomes short-term solutions to a larger, more persistent question. The unwanted feeling in question? His care of YQY, of course. Canon-compliant: he joins Cang Qiong and is fucking determined to forget Qi-ge as he'd been forgotten, but he still sees, much to his displeasure, the hardships YQY has to go through as the next Sect Leader. SJ investigate and seethes from the shadows because there are snakes everywhere and YQY isn't fucking accounting for it. SJ doesn't want to care but does. SJ doesn't want to help but does, steadfastly burying all evidence of his involvement in securing YQY's well-being.
The only "evidence" he can't hide is the growing forest of bamboo on Qing Jing. There's minor relief, some apathy to be had every time he vomits up a tender bamboo shoot, and ironically, those are the times he's most civil to YQY. Apathy hardly begets passion, after all, and spite runs on passion. But over and over again, the same care takes root, and for the times when the plant is still maturing inside him, SJ can't help but care. He resents YQY for it. He resents his own body's failure to properly immunize him against this single feeling. But there's nothing for it except to keep planting.
Sometimes, he contemplates burning the whole forest down. It's not like it would make a difference—once out, the plant doesn't hold any magical properties, nor does it need to be kept alive for the "immunity" to hold. He'd only planted them at all in the first place because—well, because—
They got out, didn't they? They may have been unwanted but they did their jobs; they cleared the disease from SJ's body for just a moment, at least, and whatever the world thought, SJ wasn't nastiness incarnate. Stupid to vindictively crush a bunch of bamboo shoots, wasn't it? And once they were out they would either dry up and die or take root and thrive; it was no skin off SJ's back to just chuck them into some dirt and let them do their thing.
But now the bamboo forest was famous. A true sign of its owner's beauty, elegance, and righteousness, was what they said. Only a true junzi could cultivate such a sight. The irony was painful with these motherfuckers. How dare they finally buy into SJ's grift of the great immortal Shen Qingqiu because of this? How dare they see the horrid, relentless proof of SJ's greatest weakness and decide that it was actually SJ's greatest accomplishment?
(He's both furious and devastated by the thought that this forest would be the most beautiful thing he's ever produced, as his relationships with his peers become more difficult. He hates the thought that this persistent care has and always will be the best part of him, that the other things he's doing to compete and survive are far more ugly.)
Anyways, this should be a fix-it. How? LQG puts it together? He's on patrol duty and so sees the rapid growth of the bamboo forest, even out of season. He delegates guards for merchant caravans and so sees the import manifests, where there's never any bamboo shoots being imported. He doesn't think too hard about it 'cause it could just be magic bamboo, but it means he's not very shocked when on a poorly timed mission, he spots SQQ with the symptoms of hanahaki. The pieces come together, and he's immediately judgy.
Hanahaki's debilitating. An expulsion can come during a fight. It's idiocy to let it run rampant.
You think I vomit up a lung once a week by choice? Immunity doesn't build for me so save your amateur doctor crap for someone who'll actually buy it.
I know you don't have immunity, that's not what I meant.
What exactly do you mean?
Whatever feeling you don't want? Want it.
That's the way LQG's been taught, at least. Look—pain is your body's way of telling you its needs, that something is wrong. Feelings are the same way. Not so much the fleeting feelings from moment to moment, but rather the persistent ones that have the strength and truth to manifest as hanahaki. If it's strong enough to give you symptoms, it's strong enough to teach you something about yourself. It's strong enough to be necessary for you to process.
The quintessential example from LQG's training is a student who one day loses a competition they fully intended to win. They are ashamed and devastated. Symptoms begin manifesting but they hide them, and one day, they cough up a small desert rose. From that day on the student was no longer ashamed of that loss, but had also completely lost all drive to work hard. The shame that they did not want was entwined with the desire to be a better fighter, and by not processing and accepting both those feelings in time, the student lost them both permanently.
The stakes obviously weren't as high for someone of SQQ's constitution, but still. Hanahaki wasn't without pain, and like LQG said, it would be bad to let it get the better of him during a battle.
As if it were that easy, SQQ replied, incredulously.
I didn't say it was easy, LQG said, annoyed. You just have to do it.
How, SQQ asked, do you want to care for someone who betrayed you? Someone who forgot completely about you and left you for dead?
Did they have a reason?
No.
You know this for certain?
Yes.
LQG was quiet for a long time.
So why do you care for them? he finally asked.
SQQ was quiet for a long time too.
Beside what they did to me, he said, they are, I suppose, good and kind.
Why does that matter to you?
There was enough emphasis on the you that SQQ sneered, knowing full well LQG meant an insult to his character. Indeed—SQQ hardly cared for good people. He'd never once indicated a belief that kindness ought to be fairly rewarded.
I wish it didn't.
LQG learned something about SQQ that day: the aloofness was, at least in part, an act. He said he didn't give a shit, but it wasn't true. In fact it was so untrue that he'd bled up a mountain of bamboo to cope with that lie.
I care for them on the basis of the devotion they showed to everybody but me, SQQ laughed. So tell me, Immortal Liu. Should I want this feeling?
Star Wars? Oh you know, the super famous movie series where Master Cultivator Shen Qingqiu fights in the Clone Wars, and on the eve of victory against Separatist forces, is betrayed and nearly killed by the Supreme Chancellor (…Xin Mo?). His old padawan Luo Binghe turns to the dark side, kills his own secret lover Senator Yue Qingyuan of Qiong Ding, and becomes the Emperor’s greatest weapon to galactic domination.
SJ’s always thought SQQ was too much of a soft-hearted idiot. Come on, trusting the clones of infamous bounty hunter Liu Qingge? Letting LBH & YQY’s love affair just go on with no discussion or oversight?? LETTING THE CHANCELLOR HAVE FREE ACCESS TO THE CHOSEN ONE?? As fucking if. This could have all been avoided.
Cue modern!SJ in SQQ’s body, haunted by SY’s force ghost that only he can see (for now), fixing the Star Wars plot by unintentionally wifing everybody.
