I ABSOLUTELY need a Sid/Jo fic because I have irrationally decided, in my own head, that they are perfectly suited to one another. Like… I’m sure they’ve spent time together centering around Nate. But without him there??
I was thinking about Beau and Griz going to the Penguins this season and I was thinking how Jo could have ended up there just as easily. And how then HE would be the one out Jo-and-Nate that’s close to Sid. And Sidney would take his mental health seriously, because that’s the kind of captain and friend he is. He wouldn’t let Nate’s other best friend suffer or struggle.
AND both Beau and Kris would speak French with him!!!
I have many thoughts.

Sometimes hero worship can become resentment with the wrong kind of pressure and comparison.
Still, they’re more alike than they are different. And hero worship can become real feelings under the right conditions.
